Boating 5-6 X Ppc Or Erppc

Even if boat aren't very good mechs, they can be a real pain for the average Joe trying to learn the game.
A mech able to one shot another one just by seeing a bit of his shoulder should not be in the game. It real sad to see a friend just new to the game cursing and stopping playing because he was killed by such monster. 6 x PPC or ERPPC = 60 dmg)
I thing they are a very negative aspect of the game, they hurt the fun factor of every one.
If such mech exist to sell coolant....that's bad very bad.
Just add a restriction stating that the max PPC Or ERPPC is 4 because that over that the strain is to much on the mech. (or something like that).
Laser boating is also a pain ( 6 x ER LASERS = 54 dmg) but less is critical.
I hope you do something to protect the fun factor of the game.
See you in game !

PGI can do what MW4 did--implement weapon hardpoint system. Voila, no more Gauss in MG slot or PPC in ML slot.
Coolant has very limited use and is mostly good for brawling as sniping usually allows your mech to cool.

Try to keep at least some perspective.

Regarless of what PPC/Laser boating build I tried the thing could NOT MANAGE HEAT! 20 dhs.
I also have found that erppc's were doing the damage of an ac2, at medium ranges. For the amount of heat the PPCS create, and the heat management issues the Stalker had, I had to let it go. Even after achieving master on 3 variants.
Just because Sarna/wiki battletech says that the main downside to the Stalker was heat management, why do the devs have to exploit it soooooo much that it makes it one of the most annoying in game things for me?
I don't mind if other mechs overheat on me, but something about overheating all the time in a Stalker PPC build always seemed unfair with all the ECM'ed DCDC Atlases roaming around supercooled and undetected.
I love the look, love the ppcs when they do damage, but HATE THE HEAT!!!!!!!!
I sort of feel guilty blowing the sides out of a Stalker that keeps dipping it's nose Over and Over and OVER again, just trying to stay alive.
Up and above a certain amount of heatsinks should improve the Stalkers heat managing Considerably, and until then I just don't see the effectiveness of a PPC Stalker Boat that can Alpha once then get off 2 or 3 shots before shutting down for 5 full seconds.

A wrong match-making (elo) is also a factor of customers dissatisfaction. Example : A mixed pug team that is matched against an all assault team. I know randomness can bring good and bad things but at the same skill level, the assault team will win nearly all the time. The weight difference between the two team must be reduced in the match making system.

I rana 6ppc stalker with 500 points of armor 16 dhs and a standard 260 engine. This build is a very strong and stable sniper you can keep sustained fire if you understand heat management(i dont use coolant because i dont fell it neccassary) this sniper is slow but very high damage though i dont think its OP because even if you are new you dont quit after being killed once by it. there are ways to easily avoid it, use cover, stick to wall and flank all easily learned and easily eaxectuted. The biggest handicap is min range which can be used by enemies to practically negate all but a few points of damage. I also think the hardpoint system from mw4 though it was more balanced(debatable) it would be very restricting for a game with such large amounts of customization. I can say if that was implemented i would no longer play mwo.

if you can catch one alone, it isnt that much of a problem. but most of the time it is backed by several mechs that deliver close range support for the stalker. This IS a problem, if you run into a 6 ppc stalker that is backed up by an ac 20 jäger, an ecm ddc and a raven/commando that is constantly dashing around.
and this happens quite frequently. yesterday i did a MWO marathon, playing 12 hours in a row. at the beginnig everything was fine and fluffy. after a while i began to run into groups that were set up like this. combine this with frightening accuracy, you cannot advance to the stalker, without being torn to shreds by his backup crew, and if you stay at range, you are being sniped to death.
its unbelievable how good some people are at long distance sniping. they can leg a raven, cruising at way over 100 kph at distances well beyond 1km regularly.
TL;DR: one trick ponies (aka focussed builds) arent nearly half as bad if they are backed up by builds that complement them.

yeah! no more Large Lasers in ML slots either! no more UAC5 in AC5 slots! no more SRM6 in SRM4 slots! no more AC10 in LBX10 slots! no more LRM 20 in LRM 15 slots!
hell lets just take out customization altogether!

Firing 6 at once should make you blow up from overheating.

My suggestion is to find some merc corp or unit and play with them. At the moment we only have variety of basic deathmatch that is nothing more than kill or be killed at its lowest.
Once CW is out, hopefully it will bring more immersion and purpose to fighting. I said hopefully, because we don't really know much about CW at the moment. All we hope for is that CW is the answer, to all our dreams

So just find good unit and play with them because deathmatch can be brutal at times. But still you're not losing anything by been destroyed. Just that it can be frustrated if it happens often.
To guarantee 100% fun factor (aka victory over enemy mechs) is only going to happen in PvE environment and we don't know if this is ever going to happen. Knowing PGI it may very well be the next big mode or it may never happen at all.
PvP is simply what it is, it's a very competitive play and you can still have fun but you also have to get use to losing. Honestly, not everybody is cutout to play MWO PvP. Why in my opinion PGI needs to add PvE for the other group of players (PvE players).
PS. I don't find ECM, laser-boating, LRM, SSRM, SRM etc. a problem in MWO you just have to adapt to a given situation that's all. Find the build that works for you and your mech plus classic teamwork for the win and some luck too.
