The hotfix about to be released is to address crashing mid game, please continue to post here once it is up and let us know if you still have this issue.

Map was loading and brought me to a black screen. This happened twice.

CTRL + ALT + DEL

On coming back to the game my mech is "In-Game". So I assume some players are swearing about my two mechs being AFK. Great!

Sadly no errors or anything that can help other than all was fine until todays patch.

So after a rainbow minimap with no Torso turn indicator bug on my first match following today's patch, I crashed (locked up while running from Atlas for a better position) and had to CTRL-ALT-DEL to get task mgr and MWO was not responding. I had to end task to get out. So I think we may need a patch, to patch the patch, that was supposed to fix the patch, the patched the patch that broke the game... pant pant pant - out of breath. :)

I haven't changed any settings for months. My game still crashed mid game after the hotfix patch. It will freeze for like 3 seconds and go directly to desktop. No error messages and I run my game on all low settings.

dunno how it was before hotfix (i played for first time after) but this:

the game randomly crashes -> session connection lost, it did once in game and twice in menu now
i got one blackscreen drop at the start of match

pressing tab (viewing player stats ingame) will make the stats screen blink crazy as if i was pressing and releasing the button about 100x per second

also at the ping about 100-200 i did have (before tuesday patch) normal game responses, now its being delayed by 0.5-3 seconds (i checked if i was downloading anything and nope)

so far these are the issues i got here

OH sorry Q:A.

1. No error message
2.errors or crashes to desktop occur in midgame ( very often if i get hit )
3. after "disco flower"(Kaleidoscopic graphic bug poll)
thats the mean problem for my crash
4.yes it repeats after "disco flower" und trying to go back in game ( to menu, or task manager ) (sometimes it helps 1-2 tries of 10 )
5. no i didn´t changed video settings ( later i tried to change some settings, but the problem still occours)
6. System specs (thats for sure not the problem ) new grafic driver 314.22 for my old grafic card Nvdia gtx 285 (I know it is not the newest LOL, but it is doing his job still very good)
I hadnt any crashes before the last patch.
Bugs: Kaleidoscopic graphic bug poll, minimap bug, hud bug ( friend or enemy?), crashes to desktop, grafic lagging, texture flickering

My tries:If i try with strg+alt+del (Task manager) it will kick me out 100% out and the program MWO will shut down. AND since fix patch there are extreme lagging of grafic. (Definetly not my router. I restarted also but doesnt solve it ).


New tries of me: since 10 games i play stable! sometimes i had set my language and region to japanese in systemarea for non unicode compatible programms. So i had select back to german in systemarea for non unicode programm. In german i have installed my MWO at first time. Maybe it helps you too?! Greetings Mechwarrior. My System ( Windows 7 64 bit) and with new grafic driver( at first time installed new grafic driver had no effects to crashes since restart pc and switch my non unicode compatible programmes it runs stable).

Next day i have crashes 4 times in a row. ??? There are still some bugs. Crashes to desktop or black screen. No help with back to menu or taskmanager. No hud for friend or enemy and minimap bug. hmm i try to go on.

1st drop after the new patch today and 5 min into drop, screen locked up and then booted to desktop.

Your network packets are huge because your client is CLUTTERED with sub par code.

Remove as many of these errors as you can and see packets on the client decrease in size (every little bit helps)

FRead error changing mechs, FRead error droping into battle mech stays in battle "stuck" , FRead error, FREAD ERROR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! since the hot patch today

I am having serious trouble playing - MWO crashed like 6-7 drops in a row with game bugging out onto black screen during mid-drop time and i receive "session was lost" memo.

Seems like if you have a good graphics card, with high fps, the game will crash.

Getting matches nver loading (vblack screen) frame rate drops to 3-4 fps, and general instability all over the place. this is across 2 machines, one nvidia and one ati

I have been experiencing teleportation/lag ever sense the Heavy Metal patch. really annoying 100% sure its server-side. please fix.

  • crashes while in match
  • crashes while exiting the match
  • black screen and loading match while others are already moving
  • Missing hud
  • Wrong Hud with "wwww" or "undefined" text or no text at all
  • Missing mini map
  • Rainbow mini Map
  • Static Mini Map
  • mech is moving left/right without pressing the key
  • Hits do not register
  • Lagging/Rubberbanding
Guys... I don't find words for this anymore. You know, having some bugs and stuff is allright, but this... sorry, its unplayable.

Did a fresh installation of MWO the other day to try to get everything worked out; but after todays patch I get the following after ending a match: Memory Allocation Error

This was my first game after Fridays patch.

Add "Mechbay doesn't load mechs anymore, instantly throws you out with SESSION LOST" :blink:
