Loving the new NV & thermo... for the three matches I've been able to play. Had a mech locked up after a completed match - never got the CB/GXP for that one. Waiting for second mech to get freed up after the client quit to desktop so I can see if there's a lack of credit for that one too. - Is this maybe their solution to CB farmers? If so, they need a more stable build first.
I usually really enjoy patch day... well. back to testing.

The new thermal should be corrected:
A cold surface shining almost as bright as a mech? U must be kidding (frozen city and others). It must be much darker.
The same frozen city as an example: buildings almost the same in detail as w/o TV - bright, with all the windows and other staff as sharp as w/o TV - that's pretty awful and ruins all the 'running TV' experience. Check videos of the FLIR or, at least, the way it is done in VBS or ArmA- series.
As for now, with the surroundings that sharp in details, thermal vision is the preferrable mode to use. It does no help for large distances anymore, but at closer ones it still is #1 mode, Before the patch I was spending ~70% of the time in blue colors, now it will be grey and white.

Just a small update. I have now had a chance to play the game on my main rig. This is totally different hardware to earlier test. Earlier machine was an AMD , Windows 7 with a 6850. Now I have tried with an i7 with Dual 7970's running Windows 8 and exactly the same issues. Black screen for a random time then I can join the game anywhere from 1-10 minutes later.

Have you guys thought about having thermal show as red yellow blue and such?

much like it does on a tanks thermal

no where,like that loading screen when load is end comes blackscreen and then go game not fixet and that are there abaut 3-5 month now
( maybe need only money dont care fix enymore )

-I forgot to mention that the graphics upgrade made the game look much better, more colorfull and better textures, kudos

-Also i get screen freeze more often than before

Releasing hero variant before standard variants is a good call. But for future mechs, an overview of their intended loadouts would be good to know in advance.

Thermo and night vision changes are nice, but It's not usable as the game keeps blacking out and lags like hell. Completly unplayable. I really don't want to have a go at you guys at PGI, but this is bloody rediculous. Maybe you should have a really good think about fixing these bugs and the previous issues before to start asking us to pay money for new features we're not able to properly use.

Honestly, not even one Comment yet from anyone at PGI about this screw up and how they're going to fix it.

We help pay your bills guys so sort this **** out pronto.

Having a problem with my Highlander being stuck in game at end of match. Put in a ticket. Only happens with the Highlanader. I have to manually quit, Drop with a different Mech and then it is released. I was stuck in game for 10+ minutes to see if it would boot out on its own before finally quitting the game. Relaunching the game did not fix it either.

I'll have to disagree - this IMHO is by far their worst patch ever. At least with the other patches I could actually launch/get into the game (bugs and all). Now I just get a constant black screen of death :D

Also, Arty Strikes and Airstrikes kinda look.....crap?

i mean, i actually used two back to back in training grounds JUST to see what they looked like.
i missed it.

like i actually just missed the "shells" coming down....

i shouldnt really. they need to ATLEAST have louder sound, or kick up dust or something..

Some new content in here... At the first glance I thought I am gonna love the new patch: New visions which make much more sense, a new Heromech, new consumables etc. I bet the last patch was quite challenging to get all the new stuff into the game.

Maybe a bit too challenging:

Four of my last six matches ended on my desktop - hard crashing without any error message. I have all the latest drivers installed as it was suggested in the patch notes. I never had those problems in the past - at least not in that frequency. I noticed that I crash more often after the missile-patch (1 or 2 times per day), while I've never crashed before. Since yesterday most of my matches end in a crash to desktop.

I noticed an increased frequency of "light" bugs the like broken HUD or the map bug. These things have happened since the missile patch but since yesterday I haven't had one single match without either a broken HUD or the map bug.

Maybe this counts only for me but - at the current state - the game is unplayable for me.

EDIT: Anyone else having issues with new consumables? It looks like they do not work as intended. They make hardly any damage even if a mech stands still.
