As long as your company motto goes "It was our position at that time" you have no right whatsoever to complain if people assume such things. You made your bed, now sleep in it.

As long as most of your core playerbase is a bunch of whining idiots with no common sense nothing you can do will look good. Half of the stuff everyone is whining about is think they *assumed* would happen or were only hinted at, your bloody fault of feeling like the game will be your own special gem made perfectly to please you. Oh and they're not that slow at all. I find it hilarious people are bringing Blizzard into this, with how they've been basically rehashing old content for the last few years and still take months upon months upon months to bring any patch out.

You know, you read these responses after the dev posts, and you wonder why they don't do it so often.

You ******* need to just quit the game and leave so we can enjoy it without you.

Can we have spot lights? ;) I don't mind if it allow the enemy to target me.

I kinda have to agree with this as well...I understand the whole giving away position, but it would really be cool aesthetically on dark night maps and if it could be toggled of course on or off then we could use it more strategically....I for one would prefer to not use vision modes at night and would use a spot light only when up close in combat......it seemed really cool in mechwarrior 3 LOL

Aye, tactically unsound but awesome. Mine would come with epilepsy warnings.

slow your role, I know I brought blizzard up but I wasn't complaining that PGI doesnt "keep up" like blizzard ...just trying to differentiate the too ...I wasn't bashing PGI at all...but in fact justifying their small size company to why work flow is going as such...weather Im right or wrong, I don't want to be bashed over the head for what you all might have thought as complaining when i wasn't.

Also mind you, I "used" to play WoW...as in... I quit after reaching lvl 68 in BC....so Im speaking from back when blizzard was a bit better...I also understand that they have been floundering as of late and in my opinion have turned to shi*.....

Isn't it so sad to see the IP being looted and mismanaged yet again? I've been playing Star Conflict recently, and for a dinky little game with less than 1/10th of the population of MWO they had no problem implementing basic things like functional UIs, lobbies, public player counts, the dropship mode that MWO has been talking about forever, and interesting game modes. They've also avoided P2W entirely...there are 5 tiers of items in the game and the stuff you can buy with real money is equivalent to tier 4, you can only find/loot the tier 5 stuff.

To those who defend PGI's mishandling of this game - go out and see what other developers are doing. PGI only looks good when you compare them to EA.

Star conflict has some huge glaring balancing issues that the devs seem to be flat ignoring and are also running into the R&R issues that PGI already ran into, and they are showing very little signs of changing that.

Personally very happy with the patch notes. I'm saving for a highlander, so probably won't use the consumables much, but I'm just happy that we're getting anything at all.

And come now. Those vision modes have been wanted by a lot of people for a long time. Those constitute a big change, as far as I'm concerned.

I think people forget about long time issues like this, and focus on the things at hand. Thermal has been an issue since closed beta. They've obviously been working hard on that. Reminds me when there were all those complaints about legs taking too much fall damage on lights. They fixed it about a month or so after, but people acted as if that had never been a significant complaint, focusing on more current things.

I'd agree that it would be interesting if they used a beta server for players that they just dump all kinds of changes on, considering that the players who do that are accepting that things will be broken.

(I won't be getting the highlander either, cause it costs so much money...but I'll enjoy seeing it on the battlefield.)

Well, let's consider this from an unbiased point.

If you sell mandolls, like GW, then you get the mandoll audience. If you take forever to make community warfare, only the most hardcore of hardcore electronic old men will stick around.

So I guess what I'm saying is, you make your bed, and you have to sleep in it. Now, if you decided it's a good idea to ignore your audience (GW, PP) that's your own business, but you're still selling mandolls, and should expect the mandoll audience.

Star Conflict probably spent longer in closed beta development before they opened it up - hence all the additional features. So while I do agree that PGI probably opened their beta up too soon, I doubt they did anything much differently in development than what Gaijin (devs of Star Conflict) did.

Also, Gaijin is building off the success of War Thunder whereas PGI is starting from scratch.

If he's played the game in the last two weeks, he has dropped almost exclusively on Tourmaline Desert.

I totally disagree with you on Star Conflict. That game has issues far more serious than anything in MWO, and it is blatantly pay to win.

What is wrong with the Missiles now? Seen lots of Missile Mechs killing other Mechs when their Team provides good solid locks for them.

They halved their damage in a hotfix a few weeks ago. ECM still makes them feast or famine where their effectiveness is entirely in the hands of the opposing team and their number of ECM mechs.

Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that those HUD bugs have been a serious pain to track down and resolve, the good news is I was informed this morning that the yellow screen issue is resolved (low level bug in flash animation system), or the fact they can take a long time to reproduce and fix, while cockpit items are fast to make and rarely encounter issues. Nope obviously we just don't want to prioritize those items and would rather give you stuff for your cockpit *sighs*

If you want to know the status of an issue and if it's prioritized you can always just ask (Thomas keeps a known issues thread in the command chair), and if we don't instantly reply it might not actually be because we're all enjoying the high life but might actually be because we're working hard on the next key bug fix for the game.

Most of this minimap hud issues have been in the game for a half a year or longer. If you actually have people working on them fire those people, they clearly aren't able to find the bugs. People don't think you're working on bug fixes because bugs don't really appear to be getting fixed with any frequency. I'm glad yellow vision is gone, though I've gotten "black screen" more than once since yellow stopped. And at least four people have a minimap hud bug in every single match ive played in for weeks.

Why did they skip quirks?

Mechs that don't have them

Jenner
Raven
Dragon
HBK
Com
Catapult (what they did last patch doesn't count. I want real quirks not a homogenous blanket nerf)
Cicada
Cataphracts
Atlas
Stalkers

Assuming new mechs already have quirks.

Quirks coming in the next patch.

You do realize we have a completely new and redesigned HUD coming in a couple months, it doesnt make much sense at this point to apply a ton of resources to fix something intermittent (that is hard as hell to find as well) that may or may not even be relevant anymore at this point.
