Use normal mode instead; it doesn't have a rendering limit. I can see enemies and hit them with my ERPPCs out to maximum range without problems using normal mode.

Heat vision was never meant to be "sniper mode".

Yes there are items that are not correct, i have a long list too, but I'm disappointed in the slam negative comments I'm reading. The typical online games available today for the most part have very limited selections for the user to modify their game play for the simple reason that its very hard to please the many different graphics cards, mboards, ram, ssd's or disks combinations! not even considering the drivers, monitors and IP connection speeds among SOOO much more. MWO offers THOUSANDS of combinations and I can easily hallucinate the fact that many Piranha Devs devote sleepless nights in an attempt to make the people happy. Give them the respect they deserve to keep trenching through this process! I am not on the Dev team, even though I'm more than qualified to be on the Dev team, and in my personal 28 years experience the hardest hurdle to jump is the hurdle of thoughtless emotional slams from impatient people lacking the knowledge to see the big picture.

Maybe this post didn't be long here, but It need to be said.
