add this to your list: buildings invisible, random floating balls in their place.

This happened to me. I also got weird ghostly white buildings, like the sorts of things you see in documentaries about CGI movies. Just meshes with the polygons filled in white.

Well, as much as I hate being a spokesperson for Piranha, because they don't pay me, here's the general gist of what they're shooting for. A new Mech each month, a new map every 3ish months, an improved UI soon, Community Warfare metagame not so soon, and Op. Revival late in the year.

we know that content is coming, what this thread is discussing is the things that are either bugged or have been "temporarily fixed" with no ETA on a permanent fix. which is more important than more content.

I rarely complain on here at all; but the HUD bug and texture bug have been constant in this patch for me (I never had any major issues previously); not sure what happened. I really can't play the game right now; my HUD and map and everything disappear for half the game only to come back again when the rounds almost over; it's almost like it's going through a shutdown animation randomly.

A hotfix would be very welcome :P

No, this is a bad idea. Giving an ETA will be a deadline, and if it doesn't get fixed properly, there's a chance that a "lesser fix" will be implemented or players will complain that there's no fix for it yet when you go past the deadline, or worse think you're lying, maybe even totally clueless on how to fix it. ETA is in general, a bad idea.

Development isn't exactly a singular list of "things to do" and one person having to do them in order from top to bottom. They've got what? 50ish people on the project? Yes, we all want the bugs fixed, but it's not as simple as locking everyone in a room until they get it sorted. Well, I spose that could work. You could even make a chute and slide some hot dogs down.

you've taken what i've said out of context, I'm not asking for an ETA , we're discussing things that don't currently have time line of being fixed.

Bug fixes typically don't have a timeline until they are fixed. You need only to look at the command chsir to see just some of the bug fixes that they figured out and thus put ETAs on.

Time line, time frame, deadline, whatever you want to call it, it's basically the same, and it's a bad idea. Like giving a low quote on an installation job, and having to charge more when it's done.

i still don't think you understand, we're not asking the devs for any of that, we're talking about it and asking for them to join us.

by communicating and and possibly understanding what is wrong the community is much less likely to rage

They actually do. Just no one seems to use the dev tracker or look in more appropriate places. there was a dev on earlier that posted reasons why things like the HUD issues and CTDs are taking so long to fix and it was because they are very hard to pin down and very hard to reliably reproduce (both are needed to properly fix the bug).

The devs respond an acknowledge quite a few things and are often over looked for it. This has been one of the best Dev teams when it comes to communicating with the player base of any game I have played.

where? post a link.

. i just searched each devs threads/posts and nothing of the sort exists that was posted recently

the exact same HUD issues have been happening since closed beta. so really in almost a year they can't find it?

However you want to look at it, I think we're getting to the point where a rollback should be seriously considered.

I was getting worked up earlier and a good friend simply put it "well all things considered its still in beta so its ok" and to be honest it put me at ease....I was able to slow my roll and realize he is right for the most part, this IS still beta and as long as it is all fixed by the time they go "full release" which is hard for me to distinguish at this point, all is well. He's played a crap ton more beta games than me and must have incredibly better patience than I.

I understand far more than you could ever possibly comprehend.

Devs do communicate with the community, quite a lot. They also collect a whole lot of feedback.

Here is a small list of bugs i have created that i feel should be formally addressed by the devs

various Hud Bugs
missile balance/fix
CTD
various map bugs
ballistic rewind
missile rewind
flickering terrain
base capture bug
all weapon ranges need adjusting
ECM - still no post we've been promised then re-promised
Collision
Machine guns
games launching without full groups, i've seen matchs launch 6 vs 7 and then each also have another 1 disconnect leaving 5 vs 6

while the new content is appreciated, and i understand it may be separate teams, most of these bugs have existed since closed beta.

just an official statement on the state of each one would help the community understand what is going on.

I think the community was put off by the new cockpit content, it's probably something that can wait till release, and Nv/thermal did need some fixing but a the complete re-work was unneccessary right now, when other content is still being added.

TLDR : it seems you guys get distracted half way through and then things are never getting fixed

Wait for new UI 2.0! Just Three easy payments for this optional DLC of 9.99!

Soon™

The same thing they said when a lot of these bugs first appeared, way back in closed beta last year.

Soon™ is code for "never".
