Well now that a dev has posted I'm sure this thread will be impossible to read.
So I'm just going to say, I realize not everyone agrees with my views.
But where I come from is looking at a long term approach to making this a viable money making game, which is balanced.
I don't want to go another decade without mechwarrior.
But right now, based on the last month, the developers have completely lost their way.
Isn't it so sad to see the IP being looted and mismanaged yet again? I've been playing
Star Conflict recently, and for a dinky little game with less than 1/10th of the population of MWO they had no problem implementing basic things like functional UIs, lobbies, public player counts, the dropship mode that MWO has been talking about forever, and interesting game modes. They've also avoided P2W entirely...there are 5 tiers of items in the game and the stuff you can buy with real money is equivalent to tier 4, you can only find/loot the tier 5 stuff.
To those who defend PGI's mishandling of this game - go out and see what other developers are doing. PGI only looks good when you compare them to EA.
