Your entire point went belly up the moment you mentioned "P2W".

First: This was a horrible patch for stability, no one is arguing with you here. I'm sure they will fix it as soon as they can get their heads around it. This is going to happen from time to time with any company. Some more than others. I have seen several game breaking patches with WoW and with other games that require frequent updates. Hell take a look at a "big" box company like EA and their current problems with SimCity which is a "live" game but far less playable than MWO, and EA is a huge company with money coming out of their...Well you know where that is going.

Second: Your more recent point about the cost of the hero-Mech more appropriately places the blame upon society and not the designers. If a product is placed on the market and people buy it in quantities that are sustainable then the price is unlikely to go down, if anything the price will increase if demand increases, welcome to a market economy.

yeah, agreed there on a lot of accounts. i would blame the ridiculous pricing on the mouth breathers that would actually spend that kind of money. but as an intelligent person, i feel they are taking the **** out of me when they are charging that much

From what I can tell, the priorities of this company seem all at sea...

*releasing game breaking patches that further randomize the statistics generated by a bolted on system

It's beta dude. They're working on it. And yes, this is still a viable excuse no matter what you or anyone else thinks because they are still working on it. Plus remember that they are writting all of this code from scratch and trying to make everything work together, plus no matter what they build and double-check and have the QA testers check over, they can't catch everything.

*charging $30+ for one mech

It's worth what people will pay. I wait for sales.

Quote

*having a Pay-to-Win system (consumables) in place before fixing the most basic of problems (ECM...)

Dude, they are first and foremost a business. They are trying to make money here. And ECM isn't something you can wave your magic wand at and get fixed right away because there is a fine line to balance the game on with to make sure it's not too underpowered or overpowered and it doesn't compromise people's expectations of the game and what it needs to do.
Another thing about this...they have different departments that are responsible for creating different things. One guy is in charge of the project to work on MASC. Another guy is in charge of working on Air/Artillery strikes for consumables. If the guy who gets his project done faster has his work done, they put the work in, test it, and if PGI deems it READY, they roll with that first.

YES they have priorities, but sometimes smaller stuff can get done faster than major projects can. It's the nature of the beast and if you can't understand that, then I don't know what to tell you people.

Again, it's BETA.

I've seen very similar behavior before from a games company, S2 Games of Heroes of Newerth fame, a game which is the current butt of the jokes in the Moba scene and frankly, a horrible gaming experience.
Please PGI, get it together

Dude, right now, I'm reading this post and I'm calling BS. If you don't understand that all of your complaints are wrong and can't see the other side of the fence on this stuff and realize that PGI is trying to do their best, you have to be messed in the head. No offence, I know you want this game to do well as do we all. Passions get high and flare up at times when you want them to do better. Give it time. Be patient. Understand that PGI and everyone else wants this game to succeed, but it is going to take time and a lot of work and patience to make this game great.

I'll just quote Office Space and say that if I work my tail off, I won't see another time. So what motivation do I have?

On the other hand, I am passionate about Mechwarrior, and I hate to see Forum Bullies try to sway PGI because the game is different from what they want.

You have become a forum bully. Doing literally nothing would be better than this.

Stats mean nothing and bad patches happen. You'll just have to deal with both.

And apparently raking it in hand over fist. Seems they were right and you were wrong.

Consumables aren't P2W, sorry.

CW is coming in May, think you can hold it together for another month? And you know what? In the meantime, they're chipping away at these "pretty massive hurdles" and the matchmaking system.

They are. You're just a slight bit too impatient. Don't worry though, it's a common affliction these days. Take a break from the game and you'll feel better in no time.

Noobzorz, how many times do we the normal sane understanding people who can see things from different POV's have to deal with inane stupid crap that's posted and people try to bully their way to get the developers to do something that will inevitably hurt this game overall?

This game has a certain planning system, a commission that has to sit at a table and talk these things out and figure out what's right and what's wrong and when the vocal minority, in which they normally don't think things all the way through or see things from multiple viewpoints come up with some harebrained schemes to get what THEY want for themselves, then the vocal minority can ruin the game experience for the rest of us.

I thank God that the Dev's are for the most part (I don't know about that Paul Inoyue guy however :) ) sane and rational people and are doing what they can to find a balance to the game between table top rules, video game play from the past, with a dash of realism added into the game. And I'm damn for sure glad that they do listen to some of us who are reasonable, and can discuss things rationally while ignoring the morons in this game that think their POV is the only one that counts. The game has to be good for the major majority of people and have a wide reaching base so they can draw the most people in to play and enjoy the game YET stay true to the game's original intent which was the TT and RPG game that started it all and have the same feel to it to keep the core players around.

This idea is itself colossally overdone. It's getting as old as the whining itself. How many times must I see people respond to this stupid crap in stupid ways?

Here. Watch this response to your post:

Didn't help, did it? Besides, you are not part of some vast hivemind combatting another hivemind that does nothing but QQ. These are largely new people posting largely new complaints who may or may not be aware that they've been done to death, some valid, some not.

In all cases, we'd be better served by some combination of reporting, ignoring, writing an intelligent and earnest response that does not insult, and moving on with your life. Instead what we have is a sizeable group of people posting yet another stupid ******* image macro.
