Anyways, I agree with your OP. It seems PGI is too concerned with grabbing some dollars and not really fixing issues that have been problems for months. Missiles were nerfed hard last patch, and nothing about upping the damage or reducing splash or anything missile wise on this one. Matchmaker elo is broken, nerfing the Catapult with nerfquirks when the real mech that everyone has been screaming to get nerfquirks is the RVN-3L (fixing the hitboxes to take damage like other mechs was not a nerf) Implementing 3rd person to help stupid new folks that cant understand the top of the mech is basically a tank turret even though the community has objected vehemently to 3rd person. I would include ECM in the list but I've learned to adapt to it. And those are just a few of the problems. Now CW at least has a release date of late summer. How the hell thats going to happen when there are so many gameplay issues I have no idea. Unless they mean summer 2014 maybe.
But yeah. I'm taking a break for a while too. I have been playing since the very early days of CB. I want to play this game and love it and call it George so bad. But content is so slow in coming, and no, I do not consider pink mechs and camo patterns and friggin bobbleheads to be content at all.
And before anyone says it, yes I know it is Beta. It has been Beta for almost a year now. But most Betas you can see progression on the game itself in this span of time. I see this game always taking a step forward and two steps back almost every patch.

If you have spent that much money on something that isn't even "released" yet you have lost all touch with what things are worth.
In Bancock you can make $100 last 6 months.
Let me guess, you also are wearing a $15,000 to $50,000 watch, and $1000 shoes, and $1000 glasses.
You greedy gluttonous people are so selfish and self centered that you lose complete track of reality, and become open for mind control, suggestion, and to be basically used for other peoples gain.
Salesmen love people like you. Selfish people who have lost touch with reality, and willing to just spend anythng and everything if it enhances anything about THEIR existence, yet when it comes to enhancing someone elses life, they don't care, or refuse to. OR they pretend to not notice the hardships the people around them are in, purely over money usually, and just ignore them pretending everythings all fine and focus all attention back onto themselves.
I have many people in my family exactly the same. They inherited a company, or money, or married someone who is rich, and the moment they have access the that kind of money they show exactly what kind of people they really are... Selfish, self centered gluttons who only ever look inwards.
If people actually counted the $$ in their life they spent on things that didn't benefit them, improve anything, was a lie or a scam, or something they already have, or something they really don't need, they would see that they SPEND MORE MONEY on that kind of stuff, then on actual things they use!
Then they would see that the whole money system is a lie. Why are some people allowed to live lives of pure luxory and wealth and others can't? Don't tell me its's because rich people worked hard. Most rich people are rich because they got really good at scamming. Like Actors. They don't actually do anything useful, but they get paid the most, then they get royalties for the rest of their lives. Musicians are another good example of greedy people using others for money. The system doesn't reward hard workers, it rewards people who can set up scam pyramid scheme systems. It rewards the the people who "hack" and "cheat" at the game of money.
If you work for a company, and you make great money, but ultimately your company is a scam, then you too are a scammer. End of story. If you work for someone who is responsible for murder, you are at fault too. Sure, you might work on an oil rig, or for government service making a great pay. But if your boss, and your bosses boss, and ultimatly the owner of company you work at scam or break ethics to make money, they you are equally as evil as they are. You are turning a blind eye to what they are doing to make your "cut."
Banks, and the rich CHEAT. It is plain and simple. They created a lob sided game which is to create a system liek it was back in Romain days. Small % rich and the rest nothing but slaves. They edit the laws so that corperations win over the population. For the last 100 years both USA and Canada's laws have been getting more and more on the sides of corporations.
Just think of all the lives you could have helped or improved with that $1000, but no, you wasted it something that BARELY increases your enjoyment of a game... a game still in beta... bravo

Because you know, this game is not finished and the content you are seeking does not miracously just pop up and its there, it needs to be done. And we will get a big bunch of content in the next 5 months so...well you screwed yourself here.

Buy some mechs play em a while, sell em, buy some new Mechs with the sales, play em, sell em. New Camo. Spend some cash MC, Spend more cash to convert SOme xp to GXP buy new release mechs master them in 15 minutes. If theye ever do a Stat wipe and refund, I will be able to own a Battalion of Mechs, custom painted, and have one of each Hero. Cause I have already bought them all at least once.

OP: ~$100/month ($3/day) for assumed more than 1hr/day play-time, and therefore sub-$3/hr...
...now how is this exactly outrageous? OP and others, spend your money as you see fit.
(Keep spending lots so I can keep spending little, F2P-thanks.)

Well spoken.
No one's a victim here. Everyone makes their own choices in life and in the game. PGI has been pretty up front with everyone and admitted mistakes when they should have. My own $0.02.
BTW... Check out the latest in the Develper's Corner.
Cheers,

You moronic nincompoop! If the old saying "What you don't know can't hurt you" is true, you're invulnerable aren't you?
You don't know a thing about me. So don't be angry with me just because I am beating you in every aspect of life!
As for the rest, I didn't inherit anything except poverty. I did 22 years, 10 months, and 4 days in the Military protecting your stupid a$$...and I got the extra a$$holes and zippers (scars you dumba$$) to prove it. I worked my ever loving butt off for what I have.
My wife is an RN, and is in the same boat I am in....she worked for what she has.
So now I got just two words for you. They start with F and U!

I say the same thing when I see hommie Gs with custom cars. Or ppl who use recreational drugs. What about vacations on cruises or abroad? Need another TV in the house? What about some new jewelry(lol). Just think of all the ways people spend money on things they do not need.
$1000 for a years worth of solid entertainment is not bad at all, if it truly provided him solid entertainment as the OP says.
OP, no shame in taking a break. Definitely come back and check CW when it gets rolled out.
