While BattleTech will always be unrealistic to some extent, one of its attractions is that it does generally adhere to real world physics more or less.

A series of tubes is too unrealistic for reality, so would never exist in a boardgame.
Didn't you know?

Osmosis is only for water, bro. You're thinking of diffusion. 6 f**king years of biology and that's one of the few things I remember. I WILL FIND A USE FOR THIS KNOWLEDGE!
All about the equilibrium - ammo in ALL the hardpoints!

Osmosis is diffusion through a permeable membrane, both can take place with or without water. Also neither can happen to bullets so the OP's premise is flawed.
I'm going to agree with the canon, reality and Vass; it's a series of tubes.

This! ArrowIV, ERPPC, 12 MG Atlas.
Solo drop on instant action against a lance of UrbanMechs.
I was 12 at the time. I still remember this build... I have no idea what my other builds were from back then. But I will never forget launching cruse missiles and giant ********** of lightning at range and closing up while sandblasting what was left with the mgs.

i liked the original Wolverine; it actually walked around with ammo in a freaking suitcase it carried in the off-arm.
That's because it was a... borrowed design. The original was actually carrying a giant pistol in it's hand and didn't have a feed from internal ammo.
