Shortpainter, Sometimes I think it prevents me from certain aesthetic choices, so I guess there's a double edged sword there. I dunno, I think it's a constant wrestling match between practicality and aesthetics for a lot of artists.
DerMaulwurf, Noted. The AC/20 is actually going to be a little bigger than what you see, with the smaller diameter being a little shorter. I'll likely make some changes to the medium laser but it is a little big now that you mention it. It's an ongoing process -thanks for the feedback!
So I think I have some time over the week to work on this stuff but probably should try to wrap this up. That said, I figure I'd just build on the rough I had laid out earlier and just make changes and whatnot via digital. Still needs some tightening and adjustment as you can see:
I added a flaring plate on the outside of each knee to protect the joint some -similar to what you might find with an elbow or knee cop on a suit of plate armour.
Shrank the medium laser a little bit. I'll probably shorten the length some too.
The torso was brought down a touch and the top slanted more with the neck lengthened to make it a bit more similar to the original design. Looks a little more gorilla like now, I suppose.
I forgot to mention it but, I suppose it's not a huge thing, the fat sensor eye in the head has shutters on the top and bottom, similar to eyelids. I think it would make it more eye-like and bring home a little more of the Cyclops feel.
I'm considering adding some mass around the shoulders to give it a touch of brawn. Not sure -on one hand, I kind of feel that something that's named after a creature that eats sheep and people, it doesn't look threatening enough but on the other hand it's only named so for the "eye" ...
edit: The claw-like hands tuck in a touch to protect the articulation. It also helps protect the articulation when punching and clubbing! It's like arch support but different...
edit 2: I should add a plate over the elbow too.

But can I ask? Where are the LRM launchers?

KingCobra, thanks. May I ask why you posted a picture of an EVA? The Cyclops pic under it, I can kinda understand. Do you have a bigger picture of it?
I'll probably have something more refined later tonight or sometime tomorrow evening I think, but it'll still be a work in progress.
edit: Added a quick link to the post for ease of finding... Hopefully it works -something was kind of wonky when I tested it a minute ago. *crosses fingers*

lol I don't know if there's any other mech out there that's pretty much built for the mono-eye lovin'. Maybe I'll make a variant. If anything, I'll probably make a bunch of head variations.

I can't quite pin it down, but I think the legs look a bit too long. Perhaps the knee joints can be shortened a bit. On the other hand making the legs shorter could result in a fat mech and that's urbie territory .

Brandon, you should see the original Cyclops. A bunch of them look like turtles with the neck ;p
I did have a couple of variants with shorter necks in earlier iterations but decided to move a little closer to the original profile.
Hopefully some of the elements look a bit more clear. The LRMs might look a bit thin but the way I did them, they're longish (and IIRC, stat-wise, they don't do tremendous damage individually)
Anyway, time for me to pass out... it's 6am (´_`。)
edit: You know, I was just looking at this thing and with the cockpit added, it reminds me of this guy
