The Devs have already said in a interview that the game is out and no longer beta. All you have to do is look at the blow back from the Merc Corps having to pay to play with friends blow up.

Well, there is that also. Battle Pirates has been in "Beta" for over two years and I don't think it will ever come out. It's been touted as a F2P but you can not realistically play the game without sinking GOBS of money into it.

We're not there yet.

1. Open beta does indeed mean anyone, dota 2's in a "closed beta/buy into" and has a large base of players, valve still hasn't taken it out of beta.

2. Games in beta that sold stuff, Dota2, Path of Exile, D&D Neverwinter, every kickstarter ever. Doesn't mean it's not in beta.

3. Bug fixes never happen you say, never new stuff? Now we all know you are being ignorantly blind.

you can say it's not beta all you want, but it won't make it so. You don't get to say when things are done or not no more then I have the right to say that the dinner I make is done when I just put it in the oven.

kid, get over your self. im sure Fergie has more likes on facebook, and that doesn't make her remotely talented, much less topical this year. when i have seen some 40 odd threads about the deffinition of BETA as it relates to MWO you are bound to get likes from the other 39 guys who made the same fruitless thread. Come up with valid, or at lest new arguments and feedback that can actually bring about change and you will earn my Like, seeing as that is what brings about your validation.

Yes it is. Beta is not defined by whether it is making money or not, nor is it defined by whether it's closed access or not. It is defined by the relative state of completion of the game - and it is quite obvious that MechWarrior Online is not finished.
