Ok, but how do you control it?
I mean, what's the point of having a separate reticule for pod weapons the uses different movement mechanics if you can't control it independently of the other reticules?
Why does the pod have slower horizontal movement than the torso?
It would make more sense to just have the pod reticule work the same way as the arm reticule works, but have tighter restrictions on it's movement. You move the pod and arm reticules at the same rate in the same direction (controlled with the mouse, assumedly), but when the pod can't move any further, it just stops while the arm reticule keeps moving. The same way that your arms keep moving when your torso can't go any further.
This way, you can use the free look function to aim it just as you would aim your normal arm weapons.
1. the way MWO is set up kinda prohibits using 3 rets independently, but if you think about it the arm mechanics move in a way in which you end up aiming with your Arm, then Torso, then Pod. in Freelook, the arm and pod pretty much move together vertically but split whenever horizontal movement is engage
2. the pod moves slower than the torso (horizontally) because that's how it works on both the raven, catapult and jagermech.
3. having the arm reticle work the same way as the arm would create problems as not only would the lack of actuators prevent the pod from doing arm like stuff, but would be somewhat balanced as you don't see the pod aiming for you faster than the torso... can you see it, can you see the rage when the AC20 from a hybrid aims faster than an AC20 from a double pod.
you need a downside, every armature type has one or two.

I'd use it. Though I would say have a option in the settings to toggle it on/off and have it off by default, having them locked with the torso reticle when off.
Its too complex for the new player, but not so much for the normal/advanced player like myself.
Give it dual joystick support for the crazy as hell players. Who the hell cares how effective it is, its cool and thats all that matters.
Great to see you aboard, and having it locked to the chassis would be great for new players, a good tutorial will also help with alleviating some problems... ok ALL PROBLEMS
