I got the expert mode bug (no hud) a while back while in my CDA-3M (4ML) I ended up with 3 kills 4 assists and 400ish damage (No Tk's).

The whole time I have my buddies calling targets and one of them dies early spectated for me in what has to be one of the most successful backseat driving episodes i've ever experienced.

You know the bugs are bad when

your optometrist tells you you need to update your video card driver and he recommends deleting your shader files as well

I built a 400$ PC that runs MWO at highest detail settings while playing music and full screen video capturing.

Does the play quality suffer at all due to the lack of any form of control (Mouse, Keyboard).
Do you find it difficult to play while pedaling fast enough to power the rig? (No Power Supply)
Does the game install well with no storage?
Though it is easy to run a rig without a case I still prefer one.

TLDR: Your $400 PC is really a $400 dollar upgrade to a PC you already had running.

I'm looking forward to their bug diagnostic kit becoming operational.

It would be really strange to spend that much money ONLY to play MWO, but you could use that computer to play other games too...

Well, MWO was the ONLY reason I updated my video card. I was still able to play ALL my other games just fine. Admittedly, on middle/ low settings, but I could play them. So no, PGI isn't getting my money, xfx did!

LOL, You know the bugs are bad when the bugs make the teams MORE OP!

amusing. Who doesn't have a pc to start with?

Even so, I built my current desktop 5 years ago for $600 including everything - I was running nine a laptop previously. Since then, I've replaced the video card ($200, in december) and added 4gb ram.

It still handles mwo at 60fps with maxed settings effortlessly.

If you buy a prepare computer, you get ripped off. It's either an absurdly expensive "gaming rig" or a horrible pos from a big box store.

It's *easy* to build a good gaming machine for 750; 500 if you already have the other stuff from a previous desktop (or buy a random used one from craigslist/kijiji).

Dropping $250 after 5 years to still play modern games at maxed settings is cheaper than consoles.

You know the bugs are bad when, in planned scrimmages, the first thing each team reports upon drop is how many.

You know the bugs are bad when you are in a game with a Dev (in my case, Thomas) and CTD soon after.

You also know the bugs are bad when you look @ premium time is on sale, and facepalm.

You know the bugs are bad when you are surprised you are not experiencing any bugs in a match.

You know the bugs are bad when the ******* backspace key does not work for multiple patches in a row.

You know the bugs are bad when you join a table-top league because the frame-rate is better.

I just want to add that in my game with Thomas (it was in River City, and he was in a HM), that I said in chat "please fix the bugs ASAP"... and eventually I proceeded to crash :30 or so afterwards.

Except I paid nowhere close to 400$ for the 4 items in that picture, so my 400$ PC is really a 400$ pc even including the powersupply, case, and hard drive.

Next time don't make such foolish assumptions.

You might think that if you are willing to build crap.
I have built all of my own PCs. While anyone can throw together a CPU/Mobo combo and add some RAM, to build a decent rig you need to look further.
Mobo must have good OC capabilities. Good, FAST RAM, best bang for the Buck video card you can afford at the time.
POWER SUPPLY!!! This is the second biggest mistake people make when trying to save money on their own build. The first is the motherboard. Both of which you get screwed on if you buy a PC in a box.
If you do not have a very good Motherboard and a very good power supply you might as well just go buy an E-Machine.

I stopped buying average-price power supplies after having 1 fail (and damage motherboard), and another PSU CAUGHT ON FIRE. I am very lucky it happened while I was home or it might have burned my house down.

Lessons I learned: Vacuum the dust out of my cooling fans and PSUs more often. Pay the $100 for an over-priced brand-name PSU.

Kind of done buying ASUS motherboards, too.

I like to buy a top-end PC every 3 or 4 years. I don't like getting new ones more often because you spend all that time installing your software and getting everything the way you want it. It takes me a good few days to perfect it, and that's if I haven't misplaced my MS Office disc or something stupid like that, and end up having to buy a new version.

So I'd rather get an expensive PC less often, than a new one every 1 or 2 years.

You know bugs are bad when the same ones have been around for months with no update or fix.

or does that mean the developers are inadequate?

I get the no IFF icons over mech heads, the opaque mini map that shows a grey window with nothing in it, the mini map that shows me in the middle of E4 E5 F4 F5 constantly, or the mini map that shows me pointed north at all times with no way to know if my torso is still twisted slightly untill I hit "C" to check.
