Why Do We Have To Wait?

Why is not important? PGI Knows this game is broken for a whole lot of people.
In any game type into chat (If you can) that you have no Bugs currently and you will be congratulated.
They game is badly broken for many people.
Sometimes it is just chat. Sometimes the HUD is fully gone mostly it is somewhere in between.
It needs to be addressed. having PGI just shut up and hope it gets fixed at their next scheduled update is unacceptable.
My premium time is running. I do not want to hear "Its beta". In a real beta they roll back and fix ****.
this is not beta anymore. Once they can not roll back changes due to the money they make with the changes they can no longer hide behind beta,

Actually, that doesn't happen.
I appreciate you're angry, but understand that, 'I'm having HUD problems' isn't a light-switch fix. There's no magical button, or line of code, that will 'fix' it. If we could fix it quickly, why wouldn't we? What possible scenario would have us cackling in glee as our game had an error?
As soon as we can, we will hotfix or patch the issue out.

I sympathize with you guys, and I don't agree with the OP (though I share his frustrations), but I very specifically recall two instances where they rolled back patches in the SC2 beta.
Edit: I out of ordered two words.

I assume also that this is tricky to repair in that tons of people bought the mech that came out in the patch, and a simple "undo" would take away what people paid cash for. I did NOT buy one, but could certainly appreciate the anger if I had bought one, then had it removed.
I will continue monitoring the forums, in hopes of some good news. Gettin shaky, need my mech fix fixed.

That's the problem with F2P betas.
If they rolled the patch back, it would mean all people who paid for the HM would be screwed over.

Because if the former, I'll just shrug and go away.
If the latter, the short form is, in the IT industry it's almost always a bad idea to rush bug fixes out. Complexity of code means you patch one thing likely lead to another hole elsewhere. This isn't unique to PGI, it's endemic in the IT world.
Besides that's what they did. They patched one problem on 05 April.. and lead to more problems for me. Given the huge combination of hardware and middleware this community uses, that's hardly surprising. But still aggravating.
Consider the changes implemented by the 02 April patch. Two new vision modes that interact differently from the old with the client. It was stated that the old vision modes were Cryengine defaults, so those are likely well tested by the Cryengine team. We are essentially wandering into new areas here and I'm not too surprised if the bugs can be traced somewhat to them.
Another thing I'm very suspicious about is that there is apparently some latency relationship. I can't help but wonder if the ballistic HSR comms have been put into place early for field testing, and is proving to be a bit of a problem. In both cases, the commitment to the development path has been made and rollback is unlikely.
That's not to say that I feel that the PGI has done brilliantly. The 02 April patch feels rushed, especially over the Easter weekend. The comms cited a internal playtesting figure that I felt was very low, so the sharing that additional automation is being brought into place to test is welcomed. Transparency as to what is patched and what are likely causes isn't great. If I had known about certain bug information, I'd have avoided doing some odd things.
Overall, am I happy? No, since a friend of mine got his FPS hammered down to single digits. That made it impossible for him to play. It was impossible for me to play for a while too, until I fiddled enough to get a decent FPS for my setup.
So, I'm going to watch tomorrow's patch very carefully. I hope to see certain improvements. I can still live with certain drawbacks but at some point my wallet is going to vote to do something more personally rewarding.

If it can’t be fixed now then you should roll back to a more stable patch and work on what you need to in the meantime. It feels like you guys are rushing and forgoing quality. It really looks unprofessional on your part.

Hi op
Question. Can u tell me right now. What os level, what patch level windows is on you pc? How about your video drivers? What about cpu drivers? How about directx?
While u ponder this, how about we ask that question oh. Say 100,000 times
Still seem easy? Yes new versions of drivers etc are typically backwards compatible, but there can be bugs(oh yeah. Not all bugs are pgi's fault are they ? They dont write directx)
Now. Assuming that they know about it, could it be that while they might be able to do a code fix they want to test it to make sure it doesnt break something else? ( that would be another complaint or issue)
By the way. Go read the beta terms. Free 2 play doesnt mean instant full release
It IS beta and I call BS if anyone says otherwise (i am not a fanboi of pgi but i do work in I.T.)
Now. If u cannot live with beta terms why dont u go chill until release

Gotta love this response...many of us have paid handsomely to PGI, but I guess since there hasn't been a gun to our heads when we've purchased anything this excuse is thrown around...

All these HUD issues is the problem. There's the HUD disappearing, the WWWWWWW mech, the lack of IFF, the minimap bugs, and my personal favorite, the terrifying disco-acid trip.
Not one thing, but many things are terribly wrong right now, and they do not appear consistently- which means they are harder to isolate the cause, and thus more time consuming to fix. Every hate inducing bug that happens is more data for PGI, and one step closer to the cure. It sucks, but a rollback hotfix can only fix something where the problem can be very easily seen and pointed to - like the LRM hotfix, which essentially removed the latest LRM code and reverted it to an earlier time.
None of these are blowing up Atlases with LRM 10s, or leading to multiple headshots from 1000 meters.

Me.Hudbugs.Visible = True
Else
Me.Hugbugs.visible = False
End If
It's not that simple. "Hey, guys, maybe we should take that line of code out in the next hotfix? He seems mad"
yes, I know that the game isn't written in VB, but it's the only code I know

I agree that when major annoyances crop up, it is only fair they refund some premium time for the inconvenience.

[sarcasm]Because rolling back an entire patch is an entirely feasible thing to do? [/sarcasm]
Rolling back bugged content would only delay how long it will take to get fixed. Having content released directly to us allows far more instances of the game to run than what PGI can run. The more instances of the code running allows the errors to pop up more often and by reporting these bugs PGI can see the common factors, find the source of the bug, and patch it.
Now don't get me wrong it is frustrating at how prevalent some of these bugs are. But at the same time I love it because by seeing how many others are affected then PGI should be able to more quickly identify where the problem is. The only time I recall a feature being rolled back was the implementation of DX11 in closed beta which broke the game so badly as to make it entirely unplayable if I recall correctly.
In short, have some patience. Coding takes time and is a lot harder than some people think when you have a game as complex as this.

Mr Ekman, if I suckered up so many fans of a franchise in paying up dosh for a "promised" product, I'd be laughing all the way to the bank too
It does look kinda bad though when in the scale of a year your company rolls out MC only additions 10x quicker than content or bug fixes, then complain about not having the right staff to fix it, or slow speed..
But who cares as long as suckers keep paying right? lol
