Jester makes great screenshots - something about the grin.

Earless Timberwolves make me sad though
I know why people do it, that is obvious, but they do not look right for some reason
Possibly because the brace for the launchers is still there?

The moment you first mentioned it or brought it out of the stable, it was doomed.

You knew that, right?

Right?!

....please tell me you know that

The little grin?
(took me a bit to figure out that sentence, not sure if it was the sentence though, as I am getting rather tired)

I went from the game controlling the AA (lack there of) and AF to forcing the drivers to control them completely, I also set the Occlusion to use the values from another game (Skyrim) when I had the AA forced really high under MSAA, CSAA, or SSAA the game would create all sorts of weird artifacts, massive performance issues and the like. Settling on FXAA (and only low amounts) at least afforded me slightly crisper images in game, and only slightly reduced the Aliasing problems this game has.

Starting with a base image which is as high quality as I can get the game to give me, and shooting it in a high quality format such as .PNG allows me to make several color/saturation/brightness/contrast/digital highlighting edits in the end, generally subtle ones) to result in a what I consider to be "fantastic" screen cap.

On with the show.

I know there are plenty of people who just look at the pretty pictures and go on their merry way, but I would love for some feedback, hear what people would like to see.

Does this still work? When I try similiar settings using Inspector, I still get alot of motion blur. Is there something I'm missing? Or does the switch to DX11 ruin all the settings?

If so, what do you use now to make the pictures come out so crisp?

Ps. I really love the thread

At this time, the only way to get rid of the 'Motion blur' which is infact image ghosting from cryengines used of Temporal AA would be to set the game to NoAA (which is broken at this time) or to set the game to TXAA or MSAA (At a high performance cost to non high end systems)

I like the way the cockpit is lit up from the PPCs

(Which makes me feel bad for not having more feedback for Lordreds shots)

Your shots are beautiful (and are the large bulk of my wallpaper cycle)- but since they are all zoomed in, I miss those neat (and easy to comment on) effects like the cockpit lighting up. :)

I'm looking into mixing Shader and Hardware AA's together using lower levels to see if I can find a tradeoff for visual quality vs image quality.

I just tested TXAA Shader AA combined with Hardware MSAA, I was kissing my 4gb frame buffer, 3927mb used and getting a ripe ~11fps Far too over the top, but I'll be damned it looked clean.

In native size (3264x2040) I cannot spot any model based aliasing, only texture based (which would require higher res textures to combat)

I will do some 1920x1200 testing with these settings, then look for 'lighter' AA loads.

The image, it be 5mb http://pumpgasracing...ted/TXwMSaa.jpg
