Hi Lordy,

With the graphics card adjustments, does this affect the blur when mechs are moving (nb i have the actual motion blur off..). I am finding stationary shots are ok, but moving mechs still come up a bit blurry.. ..wouldnt mind figuring out what im missing. One adjustment away from awesome pics... :P

Gotcha.

The other annoying thing i noticed is how the background and certain animations like to turn out grainy.. ..with a bit of work though.,... ....here are some shots of the new Caustic and a spider shot.

Those caustics look good, but edited beyond color stuff? o.O; Or Sweet FX?

Currently (prior to turning off post processing), i open the images up in photoshop (duh duh duh!) and generally apply some or all the following changes to enhance the images:
- Blur background image (Current method to remove the grain)
- Smart sharpen
- Very weak sharpen to fix up the edges
- Saturation (usually increase 4/5)
- Contrast
- Shadow/Highlight (e.g. back of the phract in the caustic image was lightened)
- Variance blur on background (Different levels of blur to give DOF)

I am still playing around with settings to get the best effects. I find that what works the most is sharpening the image, adding blur to improve DOF, contrast and saturation.

Ah. Was going to say they looked better than most of the "Sweet FX" crap I've seen. Definitely like the lighting in the caustic factory scenes.
