Do We Need More Points For Capping In Conquest Mode?

I dunno about you, but I'd rather have a match win than a bunch more XP and a match loss.

We would have won a massively under tonned 6v8 against a team with no missiles?
Moronic. Patently moronic. I am surprised you aren't embarrassed to offer such a suggestion. All they had to do was cap a point before they hit 690 points. That kind of kill greed does not deserve to win matches.
As for your ludicrous suggestion, all you are doing is crying about caps like a tard because you, like that team, lack the basic, ground level competency to say "Wow. They've held all five points for some time now. Perhaps we should cap something?" If dropships were included, doubtless you'd whine about those too. I can see it now. "Omg you only won because you called in the dropship."
There is no more to be said about it. However good you may be at mechanically controlling your battlemech, your attitude exudes "non-strategic noob." I mean, just the ECM complaining suggests to me that there is a high level of ScrubsMcBads going on. That anyone complains about ECM in the post LRMpocalypse era is confounding to me.
Wow, can't wait for the Mod's to read that one.
You have played this game, right? You know that ECM is powerful because of situational awareness, right? You know that an ECM mech is stealthy right? You know that it gives radar stealth to anybody in a radius right? You know that a bunch of direct fire mechs screened by an ECM mech in cover can snipe with impunity, with only weapons fire giving away their position, but not their numbers or loadout, right?
This isn't an ECM debate, and I'm shocked by your lack of experience.
Maybe you should go play a few matches and read some things, anything actually.
Battlefield 2 was the same way, for you COD quoting posters.
Oh and:

Of course, I kind of expect it; it's true. Should it be true? No.
Anyway, hopefully all you guys will go to TDM or whatever so you can play Farmville With Robots there instead.

Winning or loosing is not what it is about that is just epeen.
It's about having a good FIGHT.
If i loose a match but spent the last 4 minutes dodging 3-4 enemies and manages to go toe-to-toe with my atlas against 3 other atlases simultaneously and taking them down by myself then it is a "win" in my book.
The end result is not important - it's what you do on the journey to get there.

And that's how you prefer to play, and how you enjoy the game. I like to win matches with strategy.

This kind of irony is mind boggling. Do you not have eyes? Have you ever been in a situation where you were unable to fire back because there was no red box around your target? The strength of ECM is blocking streaks and blocking missiles. A basic, basic level of communication obviates any open ECM play, and necessitates the use of cover.

I have posted a screenie which you have utterly failed to refute, except for whining about capping. The devs have slipped up a few times and revealed their opinion on the matter in a way that was not equivocal.
Hint: They think your whining is noobish too. I men, it's obvious from hearing you talk that you are not good at videogames.
Anyway, the capping mechanic allows players to stratify. If my ELO is bad, it's because I'm bad. If my ELO is good, it's because I'm good. Get over it pal. Go get yourself some hugs, and a box of tissues to wipe away those tears.

Oh I like that too - the problem right now is that strategies are "Kill or Capture" and limited goals - even MORE limited for scout mechs when the majority of points you get in the game is from damage.
I made a poll about it a few weeks ago I think.

Basically - give us more stuff to do and reward us for doing fun stuff.
The we also need more complex mission objectives with both primary AND secondary - and even perhaps tertiary objectives.

For sure, definitely would love different ways of winning instead of capping or killing mechs. This is mechwarrior, it should be objective style play. I'm sure we'll see a more robust objective system once they get core mechanics nailed down. This is still a beta after all. Content comes after core mechanics, and that's what I can't wait to see come out of this game.
