Can I please have a Catapult with FOUR ballistics and two energy? 2 torso, 2 arm. and two energy on the torso? Basically a K2, but with the ballistic/energy swapped.

I would pay for this. Like money. Real money.

I've pondered the Jager but there's no other benefit other than the gun config I want. I'd have to start my tweaks over again for next to no gain.

The Cataphract doesn't give me the slots to run the configuration I have in mind.

hmm a ballistic only k2 ? i don't know.. although a k2 can only hold 2 gauss or ac20 .. however i think he wants ballistic at arms which will be a perfect replace for jagermech. Not to mentions catas torso, speed and low hit box at side for XL engine. So i vote no on that

I think you should just get on with Jagermech. No offense

There is a reason why all mechs has all those pros and cons.

it's plain to see you are looking for an arms and torso 4x balistics configuration. To load up on ac/20 and then have additional ballistics. I doubt this will be implemented. I think you'd be more likely to get a K2 with missile ears or a catapult with laser torsos and laser ears.

Hm...maybe you should ask for a C2?
2 missile and 2 ballistic...and maybe they give you 2 ballistic slots for each AC 2.

No
even the K2 should never have had full ballistic hardpoints; it's 2 are meant just for MGs. It's a mistake for MWO to consider MGs and ACs in the same weapon type.

Unless they introduce a variant that isn't canon, you will never get what you ask. Every variant of every 'Mech we have in the game (except some of the Heroes) is canon.

Other than the X5, they're all canon. And the X5 was only because there ISN'T a 'famous' Cicada variant we could use.

No AC20. I don't think the arms will support them even if you wanted them. Possibly you could run a pair of Gauss, but even that's not very bright. Getting right down to the point, I want to run four AC2's with the option of switching out a pair of high mount Ultras from time to time, while keeping a pair of ER PPC's center mass.

I don't believe switching a ballistic and energy configuration around would make a super damage variant while the rest of the Cat is still just as limited.

So what's the "famous" Catapult varient?

Make it a Hero mech. I wouldn't care. Like I said, I would gladly PAY money for a 4X ballistic Cat.

This thread should be titled - "Let all of my skills transfer from one mech, to the rest of them so I dont have to grind anymore".

Um... no. There are all ready tons of ballistics out there. there are all ready high mount AC2's in the same weight class.

Sorry. If there was a poll, the vote would be 'no'.

Actually, the beefit would be getting the ballistics up high where you want them. The reason the Jager can't mount ER PPC's in the torso? OP.

yes 4 gauss rifles is exactly what we need in a catapult. that will end all of the nerf the K2 threads!

Oh i expect more the 4 UAC5 K2...because....4 Gauss...even with clan tech or light ones are 48 to 60tons.

Although I'm still curious...Fang, Flame and Ilya Muromets are canon????

The pilots are canon, aren't they? The Mechs themselves are almost always taken from "Steve McMechWarrior's infamous silver Atlas" or something. that's why we have YLW, in particular, as well as the Heavy Metal. A lot of people's famous Mechs are also basically the standard variant but with 'experimental ferro-fibrous armour' or something.

Didn't you make up the Ilya and it's pilot too?

That is not a complaint, I love the mech, but AFAIK there is no Ilya Muromets, nor a famous pilot in one, according to canon.

be careful about making claims like that. the literature on battletech is fairly extensive to say the least. stackpole alone wrote 14 books. i would imagine there is a fair bit more beyond that.
