[Stealth Fox]

I like to have fun with naming my mechs. I'll name them and share them with others I play with.

My Timer Wolf is 'Aegis', I love the ability to rename mechs now. Aegis was given to it after I fould i was able to better defend my team mates and give all around support and fire to others around me.

I have a Trio of Hunchbacks (clear back when they where still the best brawlers). My cannon mech, the boombox HBK-4G.. is 'Quazimoto', My laser mech HBK-4P 'Ryjinmoto', Then the HBK-4SP is Ravermoto.

My Catapults CPLT-C1 Is Milaze Cat and the CPLT-A1 is called f***enBroken after the time when SRM builds where crit happy and coudl one shot anything heavy and lower..

The JM6-S is called Destroid D because ..well.. I'm a Robotech fan and would of loved to of seen a Riflemen (Destroid Defender)

And my Highlander is called Duncan. do i really need to say why? =P

Atlas DDC "Godhand" because for the longest while, and arguably even now, it's one of the most fearsome 'mechs on the field

Cicada 3M - "Sniper MDK" (Murder Death Kill) - Because nothing is scarier than someone who knows how to cover a team with ECM AND pop over the ridge to finish off cored mech sections

Jenner-F "Scalpel" ...well you get the idea

A pair of Thunderbolts named Blunderbolt and Ogre. One is an SRM/MPL 'shotgun' and the other is a "Lrm Brawler", respectively. They get the job done in a messy and brutal fashion.

My Firebrand was renamed El Fuego for no reason other than the flame fest I get since it's a twin gauss build.

JM6-DD named Cleavage sporting twin PPC's and six MGuns

Renamed my BJ Hero Spearhead since I swapped the loadout to an AC/20, 3ML, 3MGun build.

I think that's it out of the 60 some odd 'mechs I currently own. I tend to not just slap a name on something until someone else I run with makes a comment about how the 'mech runs, or I've played with it long enough for one to emerge. I like the name to have some meaning, as its a handle that's supposed to represent not just how the 'mech handles, but also the pilot handling it.

I'm boring, I use mech names to keep track of my progress with them.

New mechs get named "---"
Once all the basic skills are unlocked mech gets renamed to "Basic"
Once all elites are unlocked mech is renamed to "Elite"
Once mastery is unlocked name is changed to "Mastered"

Mech names are cool!

Mine have a set name and a less savoury name when i'm losing

BJ-A is Crappyjack (although this is quite the opposite)
NVA-S is SuperNova
JM6-FB is Firestarter
DWF-Prime is The Beast
FS9-A is FastFooker
TBR-C is Micky Mouse
JM6-DD is 36DD (Oh yer I like 'em big)

These are just my top mechs, there names tend to go with how they look, though some of there names are pretty appropriate.

Right on both accounts! I first discovered Sluggy Freelance by reading Hells Faire years ago. Named my Crab in honor of SheVa Nine and it has lived up to it's namesake.
