Your definition of "wrong" here is subjective and based purely on your opinion. Besides, which military camo are you referring to? There are so many "military greens" out there that you're not even close to "right" lol.

I always figured Olive Drab was just the most common Factory paint job. Each House military would of course have its own unit colors, and mercs pretty much always repaint their rides too, so I wouldn't expect the factory stock paint to be intended for anything other than satisfying absolute bare minimum standards of coloration. For that, Olive Drab works just fine.

Its based on the previous games and a variety of other sources. However your opinion of him being wrong is actually wrong.

The stock colour looks bad so you will repaint it. The C Bill colours looks bad so you will buy MC. It seems to work.

Also, forget all this military ****, BT canon has everyone paining their mechs like third graders, with no regard to concealment. The Catapult posted on the previous page is not that far off.

The older default green before paint shop 2.0 was nicer.... they probably made the new stock green slightly uglier to encourage people to buy paint, duh. The paid colour "olive" is actually closest to real world military olive drab and the green Mechwarrior used to use by default. Ironically "olive drab" is also available for purchase but is not really olive drab at all.

I was thinking grey should be the base color. What ever the natural unpainted color of the metal would be. Or atleast buy able with cbills!

None are "wrong". Olive Drab is what they chose and well, it sure does motivate repaints.

The olive drab just feels more like a savanna camo. And we dont even have a savanna map. It just feels odd and wrong out of place to me

The natural, unpainted color would probably be shining metal, visible for miles under all but the worst conditions.

With the current state of the metagame, that is the very last color I would want my mech to be with the possible exception of flourescent International Orange.

Ask someone to bring a "Camera Commando." In this case, Lordred took the screenshot. Check out his thread in the audio/visual forums over here. He's got lots of great shots of me and the other Zhizhu mercs.

While I agree with this, people pay insane amounts of MC to get a metal grey look. Thus why that isn't the default color.
