Ok, i dare anyone who says capping is fine to compare MWO's capping mechanics to WoT's capping mechanics, and then try to tell me that the capping mechanics in MWO is still just fine...

Simple solution.

Just do not allow base capping till at least 4 mechs on enemy team is dead..... Solve alot of issues, although the lights will QQ.

So to reiterate again the point I'm trying to make: I understand how to play conquest but I don't enjoy playing it and I want a different mode or variation to that mode that would make it more fun for me and many other people to play.

The Assault capture model became annoying when they divorced it from match rewards. Winning by base cap used to at least give you the "winner" C-Bill reward, so even though it was not much fun, you could say to yourself "Ah well easy money".

Now winning by cap is the ultimate troll. Oh so you cleaned our clock and killed 7 of our players hu? To bad you are all Assaults and heavies in the middle of Tourmaline, and our last mech is a Raven on your base. We win! Yay 25,000 C-Bills for me (that I would have got anyway) and no Salvage bonus for you!

I hope that the way base capture works gets tweaked in the near future.

This is what makes base capping so much fun though. I've been that last light mech many times doing exactly what you just described. The enemy rage makes up for the lack of good C-bill rewards.

But you complain about capping yet you do it yourself? You are a hypocrite, you only made this thread because psuedo and myself capped you before you could cap us. You should have left more than a Stalker to defend the base against his Centurion.

If your team would have fought us instead of running from us. We might have had a decent fight. But instead your team let the Stalker to its fate and we were forced to cap your base because you would have capped ours instead.

Its part of the assault game if you take it out it wouldn't be assault it would be team death-match. If you guard the base instead of running up to the high city, walking up to the drop ship so people can just walk through the cave, taking the long way on caustic tar. You have 15min to play the game use them sit at the base for 3 min and wait for that scout or move out but leave enough time to go back. What I hate the most is when every member of the team turns around to chase a 150kph ECM Raven.

I think you're thinking of someone else. But yes of course I've capped before, that's the way this game mode is so that's how you have to play it.

I'm not understanding the desire to force people to play a game mode that they apparently don't like.

It's as though you are afraid that so few people enjoy the current game mode, that you won't be able to play it because no one will be left to play it with.

174 Assaults & 101 Conquests

Using random drops. So apparently there are more people doing basic assault than the multi cap conquest. so I guess people are enjoying it since they are dropping in it more than the more tactical Conquest mode.

I agree, something should be done about base capping...increase the experience and cbills for it because it is your primary objective. Many people claim that this is a "simulation" so if you are in that group read your Sun Tzu and military doctrines where it states that the greatest victories are the ones where you do not have to fight. If you still want to fight, defend your base.

When people start playing they know or get to know about the game modes. If a new player doent like this he just stops playing. period. But f2p players tend to try to force their vision of fun on anyone else.. adapt or **** i say.
