Q: [Do you use] french fries as a topping for your burger ?? [WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT]

A: I have - not my thing though. I'm pretty 'vanilla' when it comes to burger toppings. I don't
personally do it, but a lot of people I know dig their fries in shakes. [GARTH]

Are you kidding me? Really? Of all the questions you asked this??

Comic relief......:P

I have to admit, this was disappointing. This was mostly a rehash of information previously outlined or could be inferred from demonstration videos.

Agreed. BBQ Ranch burgers are soooooo good. Moreso when you add swiss cheese, gravy and mushrooms. Try it next time you grab a Harvey's burger Garth.

disappointed in Q&A..nothing of import asked/answered. I wonder if they're being influenced by Beta players or focusing THERE instead of diseminating REAL information to us.

Q: will jump jets be for all mechs or only for those that have atleast one JJ variant? [NEODYM]

A: Only variants that have jump jets will be capable of using them. This is done to keep variants varied and as unique as possible. [GARTH]

Does this imply that in the mechlab, we will only be able to select canonical/supported variants, and not create new ones? Or does it only apply to jump jets?

Stop hating on the silly questions... They're not 'taking the place of better questions', the devs are going to answer what the devs answer, no more and no less. If they can't answer some questions at this time for whatever reason, I'd rather they continue to present a more human face to the community than many companies do.

VOODOO! , the ODB is bomb as well. Just saying!

ODB = Standard chocolate doughnut with Oreo crumbles and a peanut butter drizzle sauce on top.

What about in-game support Steel Batallion Vertical Tank Control System (VTCS)?

Aside from needing custom drivers to get that thing to work, how would you even hook it up to your computer? It was on the original Xbox.

So this is kind of worrying. Basically means I'm still waiting for 'my' 'Mech to become available so I can get the load out I desire. Sad

You've got the Cataphract, Jenner, and Catapult that all come with JJ's so far, can't create a variant with those?

You're only allowed to select canonical variants, but you're allowed to modify them as far as their tonnage, critical space, hard points and lack/availability of JJs allows you. Its all in the 'MechLab dev diary and in the 'MechLab video.

Legging isn't really possible in TT since you don't usually "aim" for specific parts of the enemy 'Mech. You can aim for specific spots but it increases the to hit roll significantly. So legging isn't really a problem in TT since your shots tend to spread out across the entire enemy 'Mech due to the randomness of dice rolling.

Lets stop asking questions that have already been answered in Dev Blogs (jump jets) and start asking questions about things we don't know. Get more information instead of rehashing old news please.

A lot of people seem to have an issue with "legging", but don't you think that if you were in a real battle field situation, legging would be a perfectly viable technique? I mean, if you're going up against a enemy you go for the weak points, you wouldn't pound away at the most armored spot. Look at tank combat; in WWII, how many tanks were knocked out of action due to shots to the tracks? I say if it's tactically feasible, go for it.

These "Ask The Devs" threads are starting to annoy me. It started with providing new information and setting the foundation of the game. Important things like setting the weapon list at launch in stone.

Now? This is all just rehash from previous Dev blogs, monthly releases and Q&A sessions on that content. It doesn't feel like anything new is being released, it feels as if these questions could have been answered by the community by linking Dev quotes, screenshots and game footage.

It's just frustrating when you look through the threads at the questions asked and wondering what is new that the Devs will release or the new details finally refined just to find what was already public knowledge.

Gotta agree. These were pretty basic questions 2 or 3 months or more ago. Feels like it's just thrown out there to placate us. Only new things I've learned about the game recently is the mech releases and the start of the merchandising.
