You run a complete uninstall, then install? If you haven't tried that, try it.

If you back up your pilot folders, try not to use the backed up copy and attempt to recreate the settings again. See if that makes a difference.

Sometimes I believe that occasional additions to the options causes the settings to go corrupt or not get processed correctly...

I don't often get crashes, but one that just happened: River City Night, in a Cicada 2A, two man group. Partner didn't crash. Crashed during the start-up sequence.

After tuesday's patch I keep most of the times, experiencing a CTD right after the end game screen. Anyone else with this?

Getting more CTDs than I ever have (before, very uncommon for me). Seems like every third or fourth game I get a CTD. Sometimes it is just the game being minimized and I can re-join, other times it is a hard CTD. No pattern as to the CTDs - can be at the start, middle, or near the end.

<really starting to lose faith in the product that i have already sunk too much money into> :ph34r:

I had played one night (Tuesday?) with no crashes, and played multiple games on multiple maps.

Tonight, I've played two matches and crashed both times. It seems to happen RIGHT when I'm about to engage in combat. I can't play this game if I have to avoid combat, makes NO sense.

I've been having problems though the past 3-4 patches, was completely stable for the previous 4-5 patches. Please FIX or you can't have my money. :ph34r:

since the last patch, then hotfix I have been experiencing very bad lag, having a hard time hitting mechs standing in front of me, and light mechs are nearly impossible to hit with any weapons including lasers!

I opened a ticket, sent in all the files, even responded to the inquiry on what cable modem I have (trust me, it's not my connection). Ticket was closed and I was asked how I felt about the "support"?? Seriously?

I crash to mech lab 90% of the time right now. Most of those are right as the map loads, the rest are arbitrarily after the start. Uninstalled, reinstalled several times, updated to ATI's beta drivers, tried multiple video cards I have here, installed on a different disk with 1TB free thinking the SSD was low on space, but nothing has changed it whatsoever.

You can keep blaming it on beta if you'll refund the ~$100 I've put into it..

I did a reinstall and haven't crashed since after the hotfix, so anyone who hasn't done this yet it is worth it to try! I think its only about 2.5 GB so for most broadband connections its pretty quick.

I'm on broadband and for me, it's still 'hours'. Not what constitues quick in my book.

In any case, reinstall doesn't do anything for me, and other people in the thread (and threads around), so I would say this option can be safely ruled out.

As many other people, I'm seeing massive increase in crashes since the latest patch, both to desktop and mech bay, practically every few matches. Prior to the last patch, I saw maybe one a day on average.

Just got some MC 2 weeks ago. I can deal with the occasional no map bug, or the WWWWW name glitch, but crashing the game randomly..... this is a problem. Open beta..... I think not... come on I love mechwarrior but crashing in game is one of the worst bugs yet. This means I cant play... PLEASE FIX!

I've noticed that I often black screen when moving my torso on the cataphract left and right in quick succession.

It only seems to cause my client crash when moving twisting (rotating the torso, rather than the mech) from one lock to another...

After playing for several hours tonight, I got a match on Tourmaline. While it was loading, it occured to me that I haven't been there in quite some time (well, relative to normal... Since if you don't count Alpine, I've had more matches on Tourmaline than any two other maps combined. Even counting Alpine, it's close.)

Map loads, game starts. Just as I make it out of base, crash to desktop. Good, I'm tired of the map anyways.

Restart the game, wait for the previous match to end (I wanted to play the same mech, working on XP for elites). Match loads, Tourmaline again. Still at the "scoreboard" (waiting for players to connect), crash to desktop. Well, now it's just annoying. I'd take Tourmaline over crashing...

Restart, get a few matches on other maps (River City, Alpine, etc). Tourmaline comes up again. Map loads, I'm about halfway across the map, about two minutes into the match, crash to desktop.

If it's relevant, I was in a Hunchback 4H for all three. I've had one, maybe two crashes prior to this in the month or so I've been playing (all since the last patch, I think?). And just to cover everything... I've had FAR less glitches (no IFF, no minimap, etc) since the last patch. It's much more playable now than it was prior. Rather than being able to depend on having at least one glitch (usually the minimap being broken or missing entirely) every single match, now it's more of... Possibly getting a glitch every 5th match or so.

AMD FX-6200, GTX465, some amount of RAM I don't remember, etc (likely not particularly relevant). Running at very high/1920x1200/fullscreen.

Also, no error messages or odd behavior occured prior to the crashes. It was there, running perfectly fine... Then it wasn't.

Will try the tool but i already did a check of all the pak files for corrupted objects (use winrar little trick from closed beta)

As a side note I have not made any changes to any of the config files - I normally turn off mouse acceleration but after the last install I left as default to see if that was the issue.

Suppose that I am lucky as it only takes around 5 mins to do a full uninstall reg clean re install for me but its getting annoying

I'm experiencing lots of ctd since the last hotfix. Already 3 crashs today right at the beginning of a match

This is a new one for me, but my game didn't necessarily crash. I started into the match and I started powering up and then it froze as soon as my guy started pressing buttons. The odd part is, I could hear the normal process still happening and could hear what was going on around me. I was even moving, according to my friend (not of my own accord, though). I've seen others move and be disconnected or "afk", but didn't know it was a freeze issue.
I waited for it to resume, but it never happened. Had to alt-tab and manually close out.

The amount of disconnects (including myself, that is) all around after this last hotfix is astounding. I usually don't CTD, but after this last patch, it seems to happen once an hour or so. and there hasn't been a single game where there isn't at least 1 OR MORE!!!! disconnects. sometimes it's 5V4 or 7v5, I hope you guys are TRULY looking into this, and not just saying so.

Since weeks, nah, Months, i did not have a crash to desktop, but since the last patches, it hapens in one to 10-12 matches.

Started playing 2 days ago post patch. Ive played about 130 matches and have had the game crash (program totally closes) to desktop about 10 times during the lobby screen just after launch.

Having a crash to desktop about once every 5 matches or so, no error message. Also had my computer freeze on one of the crashes. I've had crashes before but not nearly this frequently. Noticed frequent drops of other players in game as well, far more than usual.

Usually crashes within 30 seconds of the match starting.
