Information that's been placed in my Omicron file the last 6 times I've tried to drop. Each time it kicks me to MECHLAB (Not 100% closing the client).

Four straight crashes today.

I am able to launch into a match, and sometimes join combat. All mechs begin to remain stationary even though they are walking. My mech is able to navigate around. Eventually, the game crashes.

This issue was appearing on Friday as well, though the game was not crashing. Just severe skipping with upwards of 5 seconds in between each skip.
  • Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which? No message other than "the connection has been lost"
  • Where in the game or menus did the crash occur? During combat
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch? Medium systems settings, v-sync off. No changes to video settings since initial installation of the game.

I just noticed, when dumped out of a match in progress, that when it happens I notice a very (almost too fast to see) quick flash, in appearance almost like a lightning strike at the periphery of my vision. Don't know if this will help, or if it's an unimportant detail.

I just had several CTD's happen right after hitting a fast moving enemy mech with a ballistic/ppc shot. Almost as if state rewind was causing me to crash to desktop.

It would indicate that you have either already deleted it or just installed the game and not started it up yet.

If you have recently played the game and this folder doesn't show up (and you know you didn't delete it or use the repair tool to do so), then there's definitely something weird going on, since this folder starts getting populated as soon as the game starts up.

Six crashes in a row tonight black screen and straight to desktop. No crashdump. Running the repair tool does nothing but remove the shaders. Also does nothing to change the behavior.

CGameClientChannel::Release

Suggestion. Higher a game network coder that can sort packets received in wrong order in a timely fashion, without corrupting them.

I never had Crashes to Desktops before this last patch. In preparation for playing tonight, I read through this and did the suggested fixes. In 4 matches I crashed 3 times in a row. In Alpine, in my HVM, right when I was about to kill someone. 3 times in a row, crash to desktop. No reports, no messages, no nothing.

PGI: if this problem is not generating a report than you likely dont have any information on it, and thats probably why you havent fixed fixed such a glaring and obvious fault. Right?

Nope.
  • Where in the game or menus did the crash occur?
During normal gameplay at seemingly random times (in-mission, though).
  • What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring?
Logged in, picked a mech, launched, played for a bit, crashed. The last several matches I've been in have been set for Conquest only, if that matters, but it seems to happen irrespective of weapon use, chassis type, paint, map, etc. I am almost certain I've been seeing this crash in Assault, too, but as I said the last several games where the crash has happened were in Conquest mode games (set to Conquest only in the matchmaker).
  • Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps?
It's so far unpredictable.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Very High with 1680x1050, and I've been using these setting since Closed Beta.
  • What are your System specs?

The crash has no warning, for instance no hanging before hand or anything. It happens some times when I'm just moving, other times when I'm actively fighting, and most irritatingly when I'm just about to drop the hammer on someone who I have dead to rights. This is especially frustrating due to the ongoing tournament.

FPS bug is back, but this time the memory leak leads to a crash after 2 mins. No messages, just CTD.

Edit. Every 5 games like clockwork, fps bug, usually accompanied by a hud bug like no chat ability or no IFF, and then crash mid game. I've run the fix tool, so it's not the build. I've got the same issue with or without a router.

Ive been getting random game bugs from No IFF, No Map, Stuck Map, and Cant Chat. But the major thing to me is the recent and very huge fps dump. Was running on High settings until was hit with this. Can barely play even on low settings with an avg. 15 fps during game and 25 fps in the main menu (from 30-40 fps in game and 50-60 in menu) and even when in training grounds my fps is bad. Thankfully haven't been hit with CTD yet, heres hoping I wont.

so many crashes all over the game. 3 of 5 games some players crash @ the start of the game.
Result 8 vs 6 or something like that, not even funny anymore and 2 of the 6 players left have something like, minimap bug, no catpure points, friend foe buggy...
so much fun^^

Yesterday it happened to me twice in just two hours. Once while in the "blackscreen" before the match starts and once right after the match started.
I submitted the logs to support@mwomercs - no reply yet. I hope they to busy to reply because they are working on a fix ;)

Well, now I`ve been hit hard, too. 5 matches, 5 CTDs, all mid match , only once after initiating actual combat and fighting for 2 minutes or so, once directly after being TAed, twice while crossing the line to a cap point(!). First time was on tourmaline Assault where another light was already in the circle, second time was tourmaline conquest, theta, also already being capped.

CTDs nowhere near this frequent for me on Friday and Saturday.

I deleted the shaders folder and restarted, dropped to a match, and the exact same thing happened, though this time about 10 yards before crossing the line to cap.

I will submit the last log from before deleting and the first log from after deleting to support after I test it one more time with a completely fresh and unmodded install.

Numerous CTD with no message. Both before and after Patch and after using repair tool.

CTD happens randomly.

Win 7 64bit Ultimate
8GB Ram
Will be sending DXDiag.

Ok its pretty obvious why i get 1 instance off game freeze. Lots off times i try to use a LRM mech or LRMs hit a mech i am looking at my game freezes. I have to end the process per task-manager. Its 100% related to missiles, i had 3 instances today where the frozen screen showed a mech just about to get hit/getting hit by missiles with the explosions on it.

PLEASE look into this, i play a lot and now have no doubt at all that this specific freeze is missile related.

[edit] btw 2 times it was a friend off mine using the LRMs from the other team and i froze when his missiles hit friendlies i was looking at. He also sees mechs frequently DC/run into walls etc after he gets some LRMs in em...

Well, after reinstall: 5 matches River city back to back, upper team each time.
NO buildings in lower city visible (low gfx settings) but otherwise stable, 1x minimap bug.

I thought my problems were solved.

6th drop, Forest Colony Snow, CTD at drop. I`m not sure, but I think something inside of me died :(

7th Drop FC Snow, zero issues , 3 eventless Alpine drops afterwards... I consider my issues for the most part solved :P

Oh, and my framerate is now at 30+, on my previous custom settings, but w/o SweetFX which was always my fallback to get playable framerates (sounds wierd, I know, but is in fact the truth).... did you sneaky, evil devs tweak something while we weren`t looking? Whatever it was, it works, at least for me

Interesting theory, I haven`t played my AS7-D w/2xALRM20 since reinstalling, only my PPC/LL RS and short range D-DC ... I`ll report back if I can reproduce it. :blink:

*Edit / Report back* Not reproducable on my system w/ AS7-D using 2xALRM20, sorry bro. Hopefully others will have more luck if this is in fact part of the issue. But if nothing else I am now an even firmer believer in fresh installs when problems arise, I have not had such a fluid and issue free experience (read "This much fun" in, ehm, about a month or so.... I wish I could say the same for everybody else, and hopefully I will be able to soon. :)

Seriously, the way it`s running now almost makes me forget another (unrelated) issue which I consider game breaking. Different topic, different thread, so I`ll be out of this one for now as a poster. GL to those still having problems. My final recommendation is a fresh install, the 30 mins were worth it for me. :)

Holy christ the crashing is insane. Just logged in, get to leading into match...crash! Other times, playing in match, shoot around...crash! other times, match expires by either base cap or death count, scoreboard...crash! Finish match, back to MechLab, think about switching up mech or loadout...crash! Not sure if there is a pattern, but in the past few days it has gotten progressively worse. To the point where the MC I bought for the premium time because of running more for contest, has become a non-factor.
