Making money is fine but should it really get pri. in a beta? What about making a good game first so they get lots of users and THEN make loads of cash by selling dingdongs to their huge player base?

What about stop letting solo players enjoy the company of premaders? Give the players a fair setup so they don't just try the game, laugh/cry and then go play something else. This is not the only arena based free to pay game. Lots of firms want to do what wargaming did with WoT. The only thing that makes this game unique is the mechs. (that walking tv game does not count).

With as long as it is taking to get IS Tech balanced... Adding clans W/O Beta Test will be something scary to see for all the wrong reasons. ;)

Everything is up in the air, it sucks sure, but we might as well have some fun and just try and enjoy the ride until the arrival/invasion/delay.

Not much else to do unless you want to take a break, quit, or just play lightly/creatively until CW/clans.

If anything else, you'll have a nice kitty to blow on new clan mechs/tech when it arrives if they don't release it for another 6 months. I know I'd be annoyed if it came out tomorrow and I was only sitting on 10 mil...

I've said all along.

I don't mind delays. It happens.

But they A) Don't treat the game like it it's beta (note small amounts of bug fixes/changes in last 2 months of patches) and B} They don't communicate at all with the player base.

All they do is do interviews and then when we explode say the interviewer misquoted.

Catapult is 10 tons lighter. There's no way they'd balance things that way. Unless you mean the average splatcat prior to missile nerf? 90 damage alpha that's on par or superior to an Assault seems legit for the premier Heavy Clan Omnimech out the box....

If however they decided to nerf clan stuff down to IS level for balance issues, the MadCat would be brought down to the same level as the Orion, since it's the same weight, they'd never bring it on par with a Catapult.

As long as it allows them to lock down CW gameplay and deal with balancing Clan tech (I vote for PUGers having uneven teams, us faction/mercs just got to suck it up like canon), the extra time is alright.

I really can't believe the number of people that are okay with letting PGI get away with all that they have. If people would look past the fact that this game is using the Battletech IP, they would realize that this game is ****.

Except that some of the most iconic mechs won't be in the game until next year when hardly anyone is playing the game because, Star Citizen, Destiny, PS4, Xbox720, etc....

Besides CW, clans are where the money is at because that's what the younger people recognize. CW will just be a glorified lobby and a map screen, other than that the game won't change.

This is 100% what I am afraid off...

CW will need to have a HUGE meaning (IE, like EVE) or it's just going to be a huge let-down. I am fine if CW comes in stages but we need to know the current vision of CW, long before it comes out. We need to know that PGI want's CW to be meaningful in the long run.

Having time to play the Community Warfare only with IS mechs is not that bad. Not to mention we might get more IS mechs (it is your chance, UrbanMech!).

Facts I believe (and kind of hope):

- They will wait to put Clans vs IS until the Clans are enough tested.
- If a player choose to be clanner, he will play only with Clan mechs. Kind of heartbreaking, but life is made of tough choices, guys.
- We won't have teams in a match with both Clan and IS mechs (EDIT: in the same team). That's not only harder to balance, but it breaks the immersion (remember me of WoT with Russian tanks fighting alongside German tanks).
- They will release 4 Clan omnimechs at the same time, one of each weight class.

- "Clan Founders" will have early access to the Clan mechs/technology (playing only against Clan mechs, for sure).

I think people have been putting too many eggs into the CW basket.

PGI has released no information that leads me to believe it will be anything amazing.

I still think they should have put together some tools that allowed players to run CW, and monetize the tools.

Wait what? You mean I can finally have my Marauder?! And my Warhammer?! I mean, they already released the iconic Atlas, Jenner, Catapult, Hunchback....

Clan Mechs while iconic to the franchise are not the MOST iconic. It's a mixed bag. Not that the MADCAT/Timberwolf *isn't* iconic, but...

Its been since 1989 that we had a MechWarrior game that didn't feature the clans. All of the games since then featured the Clans as a major deal. You all can wait one more year. Just be glad this wasn't MechWarrior 5, set in 3015 it would have never featured the clans at all, at least here you will eventually get a bone thrown at you.
