I won more battles with Sunder, Loki & Thor. The Nova Cat was also a good mech.
For survellience run, I used the shadow cat in case something came up i'd have a fighting chance.

Not sure what the mech list will look like when done... but these I played alot with.

What about you... ?

Executioner Prime. It's fast, hit's like a 95 ton omni and jumps.

I didn't PvP too much back in the day, so most of my stories are just campaign mode or against friends/family.

I ran a simple Nova Prime in Mechwarrior 2, an amazing weapons platform if you can manage the heat properly.

I had a modified Awesome in Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries that sticks in my memory because I picked one of those "one and done" defense missions that had me facing a Dire Wolf. Got in ERPPC range, hit all 3 and jumped to the side, and all 3 landed square in its cockpit as it turned around to face me. Easiest 2,650,00 C-Bills I made, plus a salvaged Dire Wolf.

Mechwarrior 3 and 4, I really don't remember. I think the Annihilator was available in 3, and the LBX ACs were ridiculous in that one. 4, I simply don't recall at all.

7 ERLL Novacat in no heat MW4 games(It WAS the flavour of the month in MW4). I had a 6 ERLL Madcat I played in heat game on the Lunacy map that was awesome because the cold helped manage heat. Other than that, probably my missile boat Catapult..

Either my Orion in Mech 2 Mercs or the Mauler in later Mechwarrior games.

Vulture Missle boat - set LRM 20s to chain-fire with 360 degree traverse. Or, sneak around a flank with Radar off and dead fire on the jump snipers...time it right and 4 LRM 20s almost always knocked somebody down....and they get no missle warning...or radar hit against you so long as you do it from long range.

Ryoken for mid-range fun, assaults varied depending on how I was feeling that day.

Toss up between Battlemaster and Sunder..which is odd because neither are my favorite Mechs to pilot.

Clan: I've had a lot of luck with the Timberwolf Prime in Mechwarrior 4: Mercernaries. I'm not sure what it is about that mech, but it's got a good mix of weaponry, speed, and armor.

IS: My general pick of Innersphere is the Warhammer 6K. It's a mostly laser variant of the warhammer, that exchanges out the machine guns for small lasers, and more heat sinks. The thing actually runs a bit hot, but if you can manage heat decently, you'll be fine. I'm also partial to the Centurian. I run a Yen Lo Wang variant that mounts an AC20, and 4 medium lasers.

all of those have worked well for me in Mechwarrior 4.

Mechwarrior 3. I tend to focus on the Thor.

MWLL: Raven E [2 medium X pulse 1MRM30]

I made an Executioner loaded to the brim with Streak SRM's. Works like magic in heavy woods (this is in megamek), as I don't have to worry about wasting ammo, so I just go as crazy as possible with maneuvers.

Back in my day, I was pretty a terrible in a Wolfhound. Even beat a Highlander once in it.

Not that I expect anyone to believe me.

Hands down, Strider in MW3. 14 meds in two groups on ice, 10 smalls in two groups on warm maps.
Dancing on Dropship with a few of the other top notch C1 pilots for 45 minutes to an hour for a 10 kill game.
When I try to explain what MW3 was like for me I ask "Ever watch Olympic fencing?"
That fast and furious, not even being able to touch your opponent until you force him in to an error.
And we didn't make very many errors.
Stock mech? Mad D.
Two ER PPC in arms, four Streak 6 in torso launchers.
But Dawg Pack or any of the other C0 wizards would grind me in to a pulp.
And don't ask about Aragorn in a CB A variant in the Ring. Ow my eye my eye ow!
