It's the combine. They're intentionally cutting communications so they can 're-educate' the dissident elements on their worlds unhindered by the larger inner sphere.

Without Comstar the "Dragon" would of lost by now. After all, you guys got them shiny Comstar mechs that saved your butts when House Davion was about to kick your teeth in during the war of 3039.

The deal with Comstar was helpful, there is no doubt about that. Denying this would be dishonest and unfair towards an organization who saw what a warmongering threat the Federated Suns is, but the war of 3039 was won because Hanse Davion found himself up against a completely different sort of military commander than he had expected, and one superior to the First Prince of the Federated Suns in all ways when it came to the tactics and strategies of war. He expected the traditional tactics of Takashi Kurita, instead he faced the genius of the Coordinator's son, Theodore, who proved himself one of the finest military minds the Inner Sphere has ever seen.

Kick our teeth in? House Davion and their unwarranted agression has tried to do so for centuries, and fails to make good on their threats time and time again, even with Lyran help and money. Hanse thought he could perform on the Dragon a repeat of the cowardly and honorless attack on the Capellan Confederation in 3028, but instead of the a sleeping dragon he got one with claws and fangs at the ready, and the Fox was sent slinking back to his den to lick his wounds like the cur he is.

Of course, I wouldn't expect a FedRat to know the truth of the matter beyond what Davion propaganda tells him he should think.

OOC: Dude, what a sweet video :(

IC: What's this? More worlds offline, this time in the Rasalhague Dominion? Just goes to show it's not just a Draconis problem. Something's going on out there.

If this is indeed the beginning (like Kosh said), I wonder how it will change the matches once the Clan mechs are brought in. Obviously they plan to have a numbers imbalance, but I am also curious to see how the Clan Bidding system is worked in to the game, or if it makes it in at all. Seems to me that Lone Wolf players would be the ideal choice for Clan pilots, since Clan pilots were big on 1v1 when in battle. Of course, being a Lone Wolf player myself, I might be just a bit biased...

WTF? It was bad enough that I have to put up with mumbling adapts who keep try to push the "Holy word of Blake" on me whenever I send a message...

Now everytime I try to send a message Coreward they won't even look me in the eye, and tell me that their are maintenance problems. Maintenance problems in a network thats run flawlessly for 500 years! And when I do receive a message, its full of crap. I think c* is doctoring incoming transmissions to scare us.

Why?

I'll tell you why - this is is some kind of interdiction on the FRR/DC, and the ******** at C* aren't man enough to tell anyone while they let them twist in the wind.

****** in your ***** you ***** ********** ***** ****.
Thats what i think of your **** ***** ***** Blake!.

Spoiler

A FedRat won't, no, but a Prodigal Sun such as myself will agree - Hanse should've known anything that works on the likes of the brainless Liaos is not likely to work on anyone else.

However. Cowardly and Honorless? I have only two words to use in reply to a Dragon saying such of Davions:

1. Kentares.
2. Massacre.

Please resort to less hypocrisy, Samurai. :)

First of all, that happened in 2796. Almost 300 years ago, so all individuals involved in this unfortunate stain on the honor of the Combine are long dead. The same cannot be said about Hanse Davion.

Second, and more importantly, Jinjiro Kurita's inexcusable overreaction to the murder of his father Minoru is not something condoned or approved of by any citizen of the combine with a shred of honor or insight. The proper reaction would have been to execute all remaining military personel on the planet, leaving the civilians free to serve the Combine. Indeed, Jinjiro's soldiers were caught in an untenable position between following the dictates of their lord and master and following what they in their hearts knew to be right and proper. They could not disobey, so they carried out their orders. Then a great number of them committed seppuku to atone for what they had been party to, and even those who felt able to live with their actions saw it as a great loss of personal honor.

Do not presume to think we are unaware of how unacceptable what happened on Kentares was. We know it well. Perhaps better than many citizens of the Federated Suns to whom Kentares is little more than something they have been told they should hate all Combine citizens for. But apparently we are all killers of children and civilians due to something which happened more than 2 centuries before any of us were born.

How many citizens of the Federated Suns show any regret for what their realm inflicted on the planets and population of the Capellan Confederation when they started a fourth Succession War?
