Back to terrible ping (jumping from 30 to 100) and warping again. Seems it is most every weekend past month. Why PGI...oh why?

Yeah several people, including me in 2 games, complaining about that last night. Got in a few games banding-free at least.

BTW, ran ping test to Toronto and get "excellent" with 42ms, and no jitter.

Same experience last night myself... I have a normal DSL line with desktop and NVIDA card....

But last night...even though great fun with my FS homeboys...was really fustrating play with the plethora of bugs...Had to drop out of 4 matches in which I had lockups, terminal rubberbanding, and no hud whatsoever. Lack of a minimap, no IFF, and no lockon was also something that was so prevalent that you had to endure it. Had two crashes to desktop..also.

But at least no fractals...lol

Rebooted computer to try to clear que...but nada...

Just endured and continued group play with our Federated Suns unit..

Frankly...I think it may have something to do with the incredibally high demands of the CryEngine (which is not the type of quality coding you get in other applications) coupled with our use of Mumble team speak.... If this is the problem...it underscores the critical REQUIREMENT to GET THIS FRICKING CODE WORKING....as unit play absolutely requires a quality voice chat...and the game running simultaneously...

Hope this is not a foretaste of the lag problems we experienced on a regular basis in MW4...

Anyway...the game was exceptionally buggy last night...particularly on the River City and Frozen City maps....River City was almost unplayable there for about an hour...BTW...our Federated Suns unit played continuously for over 8 hrs last night and had a blast playing together....

I've taken to chanting and burning speedtest printouts as an offering to the ping overlords. I went from 280 to around 265. And the weetbix help too, probably good for another 3-5.

4/2: A day that will live in infamy. Something happened with that patch that made me teleport and rubberband. It subsided slightly after this last patch. It's almost like I have adapted to it? sad.

It should not be terrible. But when it jumps from 30 to 100 up and down, then I warp, teleport, and completely unplayable. I assume folks can have 300ms and not warp but a variable ping is a symtom of their server being borked.

Same here the ping will jump 1 in 20 matches, but when it does it jumps around like an excited puppy that has just seen it's masters leg after getting to his blue pill collection.

Same here. I wish it was back to post 4/2. At least the game was very playable then. Now its gone down the drain.
