Quite a few Awesomes about which is nice as at one stage they were not seen to much either.
Maybe the tournament is affecting mech type numbers.
Cheers!

Well, whatever the case, it's been great. I'm actually enjoying it, seeing a lot of diverse builds again.
In case you didn't know, ELO was actually implemented this week, and thus saw a blanket reset for everyone, as the ELO-matchmaking system now, allegedly, works exactly as intended (before, matches were much more likely to be imbalanced - now, they should be less so).
The higher your ELO becomes, the more poptarts you're going to see.
I'm really hoping you're simply ignorant here - otherwise, you may just be the only non-founder with goldvision.

They adjusted it. Your elo dropped.

You're slumming on the lowest levels of the ghetto. Ask the current assault champion about the number of poptarts and ridgers.

If that were true, I'd see much less founders and more lone wolves. This isn't the case as you read the patch notes wrong.

Nowhere does that even imply a ELO reset. Which could mean your ELO is back down where it should be. So if the guy you quoted is not fibbing about his W/L ratio, then yes, poptarters are actually in the lower brackets. Which wouldn't surprise me.

No, just poptarts, which is the thing everyone is QQing about. Ridging (running up to a ridge, unloading, and backing down, or running parallel below the ridgeline, shifting over to pop above briefly and unload) is a consistent part of MechWarrior combat and always has been. So has poptarting, for that matter, but no one's QQing about ridging (for now. that'll probably be next when people get tired of QQing about poptarts).
Also, there's really no substance behind claiming only the highest levels of play are poptarting when it's the most discussed tactic at the moment and everyone and their brother has been trying it out for the past couple weeks. It's likely quite evenly spread across all levels of play outside of the cadets.

Is this an implication that founders have higher elos than lone wolves? Because I would have to say I find that comical at best.
I have started to see some poptarts though, I've continued to either cap their bases or face blast them at the apex of their jump.

Maybe our timezone players are not so full of it instead?
Why be so insulting Vassago? If you are an example of the attitude of higher tier players than I am glad I am not at that level and get to enjoy my games with a variety of mechs with quite a few other Founders at "my level". Sheesh...
And yes, there are poptarts about and ridging is basically normal playstyle so what are you on about then?
