"Lasers are a joke"
and the following:
"ACs are a joke".
After this you can change the direction a bit, and make a poll:
"Mechs are a joke".

Currently LRM is just another weather condition. Rare, interesting and sometimes resulting in game hanging.

So you're saying that currently they're fine, but still pointed in a way that makes you look you do agree with the topic?
You got me really confused there I give you that

currently people completely ignore any and all incoming lrm fire. because they can - eating 120 lrms at once and piloting medium and continue to walk like a baws is just an ordinary situation now. that is why i called em "interesting weather condition". so no, they are failed.
hell i spent 5 minutes in atlas D (cqc build) under heavy lrm fire until i arrived to firing position of those 3 cats and killed them - and i still had all my armor at about 75%. that is without ams under constant fire from lrm 90.

I want a video proving your point, as, if possible, some proof that all those you mentioned are completely(or let's lower the requirements - "average") sane.
If you're doing it yourself in any mech larger than medium, I would gladly question your rational thinking.
You know... I kinda play the game myself... And for the about a bit more than 2000 games I got, when I hear "WARNING: INCOMING MISSILES" and see the blinking sign my survival instincts start pushing me toward me finding a cover fast.
Nope.
I point you for wrong.
even 40 LRMs can hurt you badly - but it may seems that you and me have different thoughts about the deffinition of the word "badly".
If I recon right the LRMs were never any good against light mechs(exception - the headshot-bug-splash-times).
So back to my point - yes, believe it or not - if you're large target, there aint a way you won't feel two volleys of LRM20s.
A video of someone tanking lots of LRM volleys while in a middle of a fight and still end up alive would convince me otherwise

Sure next time i found someone with lrm in 8x8 drops ill post it - pugs cant use lrms.
im constantly on the move. run for tactical cover, fire, run again - i dont care about "warning" simply because lrms cant do any significant damage to my mech in those "open" sections, not to mention that most of my mechs are fast - lrm guidance simply cant land enough of missiles.
for 40 lrm to hurt my cent badly i need to stand still, lrm need artemis\tag and lots of luck. badly for me is losing about 30% of overall armor. for the record - ppc salvo insta cripple cent and this is ultrabad.
there was a nice video of catafalk going straight line to lrm boat stalker from ideal distance without ams and surviving whole 3 salvos before killing said stalker, but i guess it is buried in one of the endless "lrms are joke" posts.
cbt lrm and broke artemis lrms were good against anything. first were too easy to use and kinda overkill (not gauss level of overkill but still) and latter were partially what i liked to see aesthetics wise (climb&dive flight pattern) but combined with damage, 100% accuracy, people forgetting about "stay close and have ams", no ecm and literally no cover available those were outright broken.

It took 6 full salvos of 40 missiles with Artemis and Tag to kill a fully exposed light mech that was standing still or moving few m/s.

They are a joke on light and meds, who have like one lmr 10 or 15, but tell that to my 5x lmr15 stalker... theres nothing, that can stay alive after two rounds of these lrms..... even if on rare ocassion someone still stangs, he goes down after one or two med laser hits.
Ofc, players and my self too have learner to avoid pretty any lmr if theres a cower(or just move abit and power down mechs/get back online), but on open field theyre most deadly weapon.
one exceprion, if theres ecm around...

Want a new paint job? NOTHING strips off paint faster than LRMs!
Seriously though; they will be rebalanced soon.

*shrug*. I am well aware of that, but it's not really an option when the only non-missile weapon you can fit is a single MLAS

but yeah if they put missile damage back to 1 i think they will be fine
even now they can be effective
