Yappers, i'm getting the same thing. I take off, then it puts me back a step. Commands in game are being delayed. I'm running at 25ms most of the time with 40fps. Ping goes up to 100 at most so far, but other then that nothing has been changed on my end since the patch. Out of game test shows connection is fine with 50mb/11mb upload/download speeds.

3rd'ed.

I have the Identical problem.

EVGA Nvidia GTX 560.

Using both drivers 314.07, and the newest 314.22
Fresh install of MWO.
Cleared the shader cache just in case.

None made any difference.

A pity, I wanted to hear the rock music from the Heavy Metal.

Oh good I'm not crazy. Been having the exact same thing. Sometimes my mech will snap 90 degrees in a direction I wasn't even traveling (so not lagging back to a previous position). My ping normally sits at about 75-81 but lately its been going nuts into the high hundreds and then back to normal.

is anyone here using a custom user.cfg file from previous patches? only default settings?

try this custom user.cfg file with the package at www.terrantitans.com/mwo-user-cfg and see if that fixes your snapping problems - if it does/doesnt work, PLEASE post back about it here.

I just tried that config change.

It did not work.

This problem seems to be a netcode issue. What we are experiencing is not a failure of the graphics. I can observe while dead exactly the way it was pre-patch. I am not getting lag becuase of slow hardware.

In any other game we would call this effect "rubberbanding". I can hit my targetting key, and get nothing to happen, or a very delayed input. I can turn in place, only for the game to snap back and make me turn again.

Im getting the same issues. Sometimes I cant even CAP as it keeps bouncing me out of the CAP area. It seems to happen more on snow maps but that could be a coincidence. I have noticed if I stand still when the game starts for about 10 seconds it seems to help.

I´m always used a ping of 100 because I´m playing in Europe, but after the last patch and initially some hours of nice playing, I don´t only get the lag problem, but I seem to become a ghost. I ran around with my Cicada but everyone ignored me and my 4 med lasers. After some minutes, I saw myself dead.

I hope this patch didn´t ruin the game again, as it was 4 months ago. Oh c´mon

Getting the same issue. Big lag spike, and my mech moves back like 1-3 meters. I have a stock user config.

Seeing this issue too. I played one round yesterday that was fine but rubberbanding present in all games (it varies each game how bad).

Reinstalled the graphics drivers and turned graphics settings down: no VSync, no motion blur, no AA etc all with no effect to the rubberbanding.

From what I have seen, and the accounts of others on the forums, this seems to be a server-side issue. I never had any problems with packet loss or rubber-banding until the last patch. The Friday hotfix seems to have only slightly improved it on occasion, and I am encountering it on every match. Since I did not change anything prior to the patch or after, and the changes implemented were from the game code updates, the only logical answer is that the problem is on the server side of things. I suspect it is linked to something with the beam 'backstep' code they put in to combat serverside lag, but this is just my own guess.

Regardless, I think this is something the devs have to fix on their end, and nothing we do on ours will fix it.

I'm just shooting in the dark, but I reckon what is happening, is that they implemented a more aggressive lagfix, which might be trying to (fairly) balance those with lower pings vs those with higher pings (I'm looking at you, euros and aussies!) which is fine, if done properly.. but it seems like this last patch has gone a little too aggressive, I'm also getting input lag, rubberbanding, snapping.. you name it

combine this with the increase in hud bugs, and I am back to the point I've made in all 3 of my grand total of 3 posts.

Please make the fixing of existing bugs a higher priority than making new bugs.

Just a request, not a demand. (yet)

I'm having the same issue. Did a fresh reinstall and nothing is working. Its all rubber banding and major delays in weapon fires. My ping is below 60 and I get FPS in the 40's... everything is updated and graphics are smooth - minus the rubber-banding and weapon delays. Has to be on PGI's end. Completely broke the game for me. Nice.
