Ive lost my mind
A fellow brother, beset by the blessing/burden of having the Death Snail as thy best mech. If I can do well in it, it must be good. Right? Right!?
I'M NOT A FREAK!

Yeah, the CN9-A (I think) with 3x SRM6 fires in two bursts. It's not too bad, you just need to stay on target for a little while longer.

ECM is king. Along with the amount of firepower and armor and PRESENCE it brings to the fight.
No ECM light can hope to dance around a D-DC and escape unscathed.

The 3D isn't the only nasty phract you can run into.
Cataphracts are also fun to blow up because you can reasonably hit any of their hitboxes.

Yeah, but the low-slung weapons (most of them, on most variants) means that if given the choice...

Catapult held its crown for as long as I played in closed beta, there was a brief blip when ECM was introduced, but by the following week "OMG nerf srms!!!!?!" threads were popping up everywhere. gauss never really lost its place either, just that it wasn't unique in carrying two heavy ballistics.

It's the urban mech! No one lives to tell about it though!

I always liked the idea of the Atlas, but in practice...
At first I ended up picking the Awesome- the first thing I did (mind you, this was pre-DHS) was cram 6 ppcs onto one. It was fun as hell- and once I got Heat Containment and Cool Run it wasn't too bad... of course, this was also LONG before all of the various lag tweaks, so... yeah...

Still, back then you could run an Awesome that was an omgwtf fast srm6 + mlas boat. Then they nerfed things a bit, but it was still a decent Mlas boat. Then they nerfed things a bit more, and... well... I moved on.
Then the Stalker came out, and the Awesome was pretty much dead to me.
Whats the attraction of the ATlas now that there are other assaults with so much moar dakka?
