Anychance for true HD textures ? and more ground clutter ?

or are u saving that for DX11 ?

Small fact. Right now nothing above medium graphics works. So there's no HD textures on anything.

Though supposedly once DX11 is set up, we'll have our fancy HD high and very high textures.

Really? I heard that DX11 won't improve graphics that much, though I can't recall from where. ATD maybe?

EDIT:

Ask the Devs #36
carl Kerensky: How soon will we see Direct X 11 implementation? Would it be possible to see some screenshots on the visual improvements?
A: It’s almost done and in final QA testing. No screenshots available. DX11 isn’t a huge graphical improvement out of the box. Most of the bells and whistles require us to invest time in adding new features to the engine.

Notice he said out of the box. That's because they have to make the HD textures, add other features they want, tweak the ENB lighting before re-installing it, etc.

I suppose in the last post, I should have said "then they can start pumping out our high definition goodies."

EDIT:

It won't. There's some belief in some people that it'll magically look as good as this

Sorry folks, but itf the arts not there, it's not going to look any better.

This looks nice.

Honestly, when they first announced a new desert map (Turmeric) I had hoped for something more like this. I hope this map has lots of canyons and crevices to hide in. Gotta love guerrilla style warfare in giant robots.

True enough, but the time-frame for that, at this pace, will most likely be at least a year...so yeah.

He is probably FOTM running PPCs jump snipers anyway, so the irony is laughable I am sure. The lemmings always flock to a tactic they cant counter and then it becomes the FOTM and thus OP.

And then nerf'ed.

I am so sick of Cap games. The Devs need to release a deathmatch mode already. Just take those dumb basecap points off the map, or put just ONE cap point in the center of the map. Doesnt take a million staff meetings and discussions. Three lances wont fix stupid, uninspired, basecap gameplay. Believe it or not, but i equip guns on my mech to shoot at things, not to look pretty while i stand in a glowing green circle 'winning' the match.

Obviously, the Devs dont read or care about this issue, but id just like to be the next guy to lodge this complaint. Im just shocked they havent done this yet. Its not like ppl are falling over themselves to say how much they love these gamemodes.

So Boo for your next map with no deathmatch shoot-em-up mode. Try doin something people are actually asking for.

In other words, "Stop liking what I don't like." Yup, never seen that before.

No no no no no, you heard us wrong, we want our MINIMAPS, or a minimap reliability module? New maps are great and all but I would really like to see the current CONSTANT EVERY GAME bugs addressed before possible new issues are introduced. It has been a LONG time with the minimap and hud issues, and at least 1-2 players have them almost EVERY game. They ruin competitive gameplay and turn off new players completely.

I took a very long break from the game and came back to see the same bugs months later, I am the last of my 6 real life friends that played this game and when I ask my friends to play now they ask "are there still as many bugs?" I have half a mind to just lie to them and hope none pop up in the first match just to get them in the game again if only for a couple matchs. Not being able to decipher teammates from enemys is a PRETTY big deal, and that is just one of the many constant HUD or minimap bugs people are constantly barraged with. Saying go bug report it is insulting, if PGI is unaware of these issues by now they have their heads directly where the sun does not shine.

Is this the Dev's way of mooning us? I mean...there's 2 giant moons in the environment.

Seriously though, the terrain/levels really remind me of a BT map I got with my BT intro box set.
I'm looking forward to dropping with my Raven on this!

It does look quite nice.

I would like to see a couple of city maps, though. Try and curb this PPC trend a little bit.

Looks like it's The Rock system.

Dry
Some Water
Mining settlements
Big planets around, maybe it's one of those barely habitable asteroids.

In 3052 this system will be taken by Clan Wolf.

A Timber Wolf in this sector seems posible.

Maybe those legs are too long for a CICADA.

Looks interesting. I still would love to see a Mega-City downtown map. Was that mech 3? or 4? Been a while lol

Or even better a destructible map aka oil refinery or other things that go BOOM when hit. Oh you where hiding behind that large tank of natural gas? Who says an Atlas can not fly, it just needed enough oomph :)
