So I recently acquired the Enhanced zoom pilot module and payed my 2,000,000 CB for it. and I used it, pixely garbage...
Is it supposed to be 8bit-o-vision or is it just me?
If it is supposed to be 80's goggles then what is its purpose? Because I get more accurate shots in 3.0x where i can kind of see what im shooting.
Cheers.

Yeah. I made the same mistake. Hope they'll fix it some day (I heard possibly with DX11).

but yea,its still notuseful for snipers (seriously, not a bad thing at moment imho^^) i can use it nicely on medium ranges, but for long range, i prefer the normal zoom
the problem is,they could make it high-rez, but currently that would go very very heavy on the players hardware... the scene you are seeing has to be rendered twice for the pic-in-pic zoom, and one can imagine how the game would play in that case with 2X high resolution renders...PGI stated they are trying to find a solution to make it less pixelish and not overly performance hungry at the same time... guess thats not easy with CE3
i´d say the quickest and easiest way would be tomake it not a pic-in-pic, just another additional zoomlevel, but that´s less cool^^

I like snipers beeing viable

But back to topic: The view distance in general sucks, why should enhanced zoom be different?

Even worse than the pixellation is the fact that the targeting reticles are suddenly wandering pretty much all over the map other than where the target is located. It makes it far more difficult to locate and track your pixellated mess of a target when the enemyreticle is actually bracketing your team mate who is 50m away from your intended target.

Yes, it's terribly pixelated, and yes PGI said they will fix it.
My issue with it is the IFF target markers from behind the zoom box appear in the box making it confusing what is going on.
