I didn't feel accused. In fact, I placed 80th in the contest on my best attempt. I just don't have the time, nor the skill to make it to top 10.

The reason I defend the contest is because the way it is attacked is flawed. And by flawed, I mean stupid beyond any recognition.

It's already been stated the devs are aware of the "flaw" and looking into it. How stupid is that?

I'm been on teamspeak with Koreanese every night of this tourney WHILE I'm streaming. He is never sync dropping or doing anything that would be considered cheating. In fact, he enters every single game as Public Enemy #1 and still pulls these scores. My channel has several recorded games against him when we happen to be placed into the same match.

Someone recorded a video of him winning a 4v1 in his Jenner (his 3rd best mech) here it is: http://www.youtube.c...ZQwkB94#t=7m50s

He is in the Comstar NA Teamspeak sitting right there in one of the first couple public channels, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind you jumping in to his TS channel, muting your mic, and listening to what goes on in there.

He is just better than everyone playing these challenges; that's the difference and it's hard to stomach for some people.

Koreanese, no need to get defensive. It is just a few sore losers that think you are doing anything wrong. You have been in public channels 100% of the time, and there is stream and video evidence of you playing legit every single time, and not even a scrap of evidence against you, other than the fact that you are dominating the leaderboards (which isn't really evidence against you). Don't let that get to you, you have no need to defend yourself in that way. Stay in that public channel, I'll keep streaming our TS at night and when we get dropped into the same game, others will keep streaming and recording, and when all they see is great games, the doubters will be silenced.

Where did I accuse you of sych dropping? Can you read English? If not, stop posting. I said when I drop I see you most times, indicating that if you and I were actually trying to synch drop as an example it obviously works.

Your constant defensive posture of this is making me wonder about you at this point. Non guilty people do not exhibit so much denial. The fact the two other people constantly mimic your defense makes me wonder how often they end up in matches with you "randomly" at this point also.

If you can't even read the English I am typing why would I bother to speak to you? Where am I directly saying you cheat/hack? Where?? Point it out or stop posting at this point. I had even told you "good job" for playing 24x7 and getting top spots in another thread, yet here you are constantly saying I cam calling you a cheater.

Who exactly have I "badmouthed'? I point out the system is flawed and you know full well there are people there abusing it. I am done responding you since you cannot comprehend the issue here.
GG on spending so much time getting those 5 lucky 1200 point wins. Your skill in MWO is matchless and you can say or do no wrong in life.

Back to topic: Why not?
Something like ([score of your best game of each day) *x ]
x= 500 (or 1000) CBills.
Would net around 80-100k or 150-200k respectively. Nothing spectacular but a nice gesture.

i like the idea of the small prizes for participation.

i normally score under the first 50.. often top 15, but for number one i'm not good enough... so it would be nice to get some little reward for trying :)

I'd like to see something given to those who were able to get in the top 10, since that in itself is a pretty tough accomplishment.

I think it would be nice to see the top 5 or 10 for each day get a little something. Like free paint pattern or something. But then again the top prizes aren't that great to begin with. I'm not a fan of having random things in my cockpit and the hours of playing I did on Saturday made me more C-Bills than what I would have been awarded if I placed 1st.

To put it perspective, I don't think you need to do as well as you think to place near the top. Saturday was my only attempt and I made it to 3rd for the Lights with a score of 1,023. I didn't keep track but I think my best matches were as follows;

5 kills, 3 assists
4k, 3a
4k, 3a
4k, 2a
3k, 5a

For Mechs I used a RVN-2X with 4ML and 1 SRM6+Artemis, a JR7-F with 5ML, and a JR7-K with 4ML and 1 SRM2.

Nobody ever said "I want to place 2nd!" or "I want to play 251st!".

Sure some of us, myself included, are using this tournament as an internal way to benchmark personal skills, rather than outward epeen waving. But lets be honest, you're either gunning for number one or you're out to have fun and let the chips fall where they may. I know I could've saved myself a ****** up sleep schedule for rest of week if I had thrown in the towel 8, 10 hours earlier than I did.

I'll take a consolation prize but I don't think they should add them, particularly after-the-fact of the tourny already going on... and it certainly doesn't change the reality that 1st is 1st...there can be only one.

The spelling is fine, it is the word itself that is problematic.

The word irregardless doesn't really mean what you think it means. It is a mistake to use this word as it contains a double negative (the prefix ir- and the suffix -less) while the root--regard--implies "having to do with..." In the context you are looking for, the word to use is "regardless", meaning without regard to the present situation. Adding in the suffix ir- only serves to negate the meaning you most likely wanted to use.

While irregardless may be formally constructed, its use is quite informal. It may even just be a portmanteau of "irrespective" and "regardless" smooshed together.

TL;DR: When you want to use the mostly fallacious word "irregardless" use the word "regardless" instead.
