I have 78 mechs with duplicates of some for different paint schemes. Having the perfect mech for a map is not boring. I don't know how you could know that since we can't pick maps yet.
EDIT: having to play assault/heavy snipers because they are the only mech versatile enough to be decent on any of MWO's diverse maps is boring.

LOL
I remember closed beta, remember that? Trying to run a sniper was actually stupid because you couldn't actually keep range.
The issue is that mlas were heat nerfed, as were slas, AND missile had their teeth completely pulled. So no **** snipers are ruling the roost.

- Gameplay modes besides TDM/CTF
- Maneuver characteristics such as balance, water, terrain modifications, proper collision damage, knockdown
- Melee
- Gradual heat effects besides shutdown
- A canon mode
- A full sim mode like WarThunder has
- A full warfare mode like WarThunder has
- A dropship mode
- A working and balanced modification system
- A proper thought behind the method LRMs are used
- Field repair/rearm stations
- In game communication (chat makros,VOIP, etc)
the list is endless.

True, that's a list of things that are missing but I thought to make the list simpler so I named only things that are basics of every other online game out there, just to make a point of view.

- gameplay modes besides TDM/CTF; Conquest can not be concidered to be a "domination" game mode, since the TDM aspect overweights
- characteristics to movement. Right now, it´s somewhat "early alpha" with the movement system. Uninteresting and not to the purpose.
- gradual heat effects besides shutdown. Basic Battletech/mechwarrior element
- in game communications
- canon mode

Will everyone in CW be able to field lances of D-DC's and Higlander Mechsnipers, loose battles and mechs with no attrition to stockpiles and available mechs?

If you remember the, once popular, OGame.
Yup, that is how I picture CW will be. I'm pretty sure matches wont change a bit. You'll still be dropping pug or 8man into games without any rules for participating mechs, only this time there'll be some number that'll get increased/decreased after the match ends.

Good Point. Really, a lot of equipment choices in the BT canon are not made by effectivenes, but economical limitations. So I agree that the lack of economics and limitless availability of high-tier equipment may be a mistake.
A system that seperates the mechs by power/tech level may be a solution.
