Hey all, I just wanted to send a shout out to one of our Legendary Founders; Almeras for his exceptional ‘Mech reproductions.
Perhaps you’ve seen his post:

He was gracious enough to send us here at PGI a gift of a couple of his personal re-creations, of which we will display with pride.

Thanks Almeras! These have been glazed with drool since they’ve arrived.

It's one thing to see your models come to life in a game environment. It must be something else entirely when you can hold it in your hands.

So... I guess knowing this is possible, when will PGI/IGP start selling collectible sculptures/figures to the public? Y'all know this will make some more money for you folks :)

I would certainly buy a Catapult or Dragon from the same sculptor, that's for sure

Those... are... AWESOME!!! PGI, if you don't hire Almeras to make more of those for you to sell, you're missing out on an all-access pass to my wallet.

Edit: Almeras, I'd buy them off of you, but I'm not sure about the legalities of that.

My two hobby passions are Battletech and scale models. Put those together and I might as well kiss my expendable income goodbye :-)

Yeah, Amaras , aka SMTK is a real model genius, and a painting guru / artist extraordinaire.

Great work and what a awesome gift to say thank you to PGI who brought MechWarrior back to life. I just hope he can get some answers from the relevant role players and then we all will be able to build these beauties.

Both PGI and Almeras are restricted by Topps company. They have rights to Mechwarrior, not Battletech miniatures.

Technically, they shouldn't be considered battletech minis/game pieces seeing as how they're based solely on the digital versions of the mechs, and not made for tabletop play.

Regardless, I could still see some licensing problems with something like this. Damn shame, too. I'd totally buy some of these!

And the mock up's for my pitch (nothing official)

The real credit goes to PGI, flyingdebris, the 3D artists at PGI for making such great looking mechs. I just stand on their shoulders by adding a model designers touch to bring them into the physical.

For those interested in keeping up with what I'm doing my blog always is kept updated and I have a rule that every post needs a picture (well most of the time).
