How Are People Pulling These Scores?

8 kills
0 assists (since you killed everything)
500+ damage
0 team damage (or not enough to take you under 500 damage done)
win
survive
the chances of pulling off 8 kills in one match is virtually impossible unless your team sets them up for you and even then its tough to make it happen.
So wtf is going on here? i highly doubt everyone is pulling 1000+ damage a match i mean the assualts and a few heavies maybe but how the f would the lights be pulling this off? best i usualy manage in my Death knell is 500-600 and thats in a really good match.

You need to kill steal, and kill steal hard, which is why the assaults and heavies have so much more points than the lights and mediums.
And that match I was just doing the usual, fought a bunch of Highlanders with xls like idiots, and popped em from behind on alpine
Note: I ended 11th overall yesterday with 890 points

Also wouldn't hurt to only have players who opt in play one another versus a team of four to murder your scores anyway.

i dont fight/sync with a group.
i played yesterday for around 6 hours finished around 20th then when i went back on today was around 70th.
been playing today got to 5th just a few mins ago.
edit- also its been a nightmare, so many high dps assaults and ecm lights around, seem more then usual, went up against a team with four ppc/erppc stalkers, needless to say the team got vapourised, also noticed alot more highlanders, but seem to be noobs piloting them.

2 strip, dont kill until then, strip side torsos for the biggest points
3 never headshot anything
4 try and crit legs too if you can before killing
5 strip anything afk from behind first, then headshot once nothing is left
DONT
cap bases
kill quickly and efficiently
or generally do things that in normal games would be considered useful.

if you have the time to do this then sure help yourself, the difference from my play style the last 24hours is that im trying to play more as team and communicating more to ensure we get the kills and win, its always nice to find that afk'er tho.

But it was my only kill, had a couple of assists, but was one of my better games. Hit 9th on the Heavy board for about 1/2 hr, and managed 5th overall (Hvy) by the 0000 UK time, so I couldn't have being doing too bad.
I can easily see the guys with better aim (and patience) than me getting higher scores, but I wouldn't put it past some people to game the system, fortunately, the format this time involves all weight classes, so I think (at least this week anyway), there will be less of it happening (one can only hope).

Scoring:
Kills × 20 + Kill Assist × 10 + (Damage Done – Team Damage) ÷ 15 + Wins × 20 + Loss × 10 + Survive × 20 + Dead × 10
Try for something like this:
3x20+5x10+(900-0)/15+20+20
60+50+60+40 = 210 points, multiply by 5 and you are on the leaderboard for most chassis.
Kills × 20 + Kill Assist × 10 + (Damage Done – Team Damage) ÷ 15 + Wins × 20 + Loss × 10 + Survive × 20 + Dead × 10

Problem I've seen with stripping is that after you're all done some ******* poptard goes bam haha 300 points of damage worth for me!

Tournaments like this are mostly won by those that bypass the system in some way or another.
I always go for the head when close range.
Only strip weapons off of 6xPPC stalkers just to ******* annoy them.
I'm also playing a Hunchback, so that doesn't help.

While it IS possible to pull 1000 in a match with a Jenner it is extremely unlikely without some outside aid. People can post screen shots until they are blue in the face but until I see the actual FRAPS of the entire match plus the ending score board I will simply believe that those are numbers acquired by nefarious means.

So... when I wrote a thread the other day about having that hotfix to address mid-match DCs... I wasn't kidding. The fruits of the current disaster is continuing as scheduled.
