PLEASE INVESTIGATE the clarity of the tournament rewards next time, wasted my 7 epic days grinding 7 kills 1k dmg fest spent about 20 hrs+ to get rank 17 heavy in realm to realised ONLY 1 hula girl per class, complete idiocy....

Seriously? You do realise that you were probably one of the few players that misread the conditions so badly. I'm not normally so blunt, but this complaint is idiotic. "I came 17th and got nothing!!!!1111one!!!111one"

A tournament bracket style, in my opinion, would be best. None of this equation stuff because those can be manipulated one way or another. True tournaments have a bracket system that has one simple rule: if you lose, you are out completely (or fall to a redemption branch), and if you win you move on to the next opponent...until no opponents are left. That is a real competition, like the Gladiator matches of old. They should invent a Solaris style matchmaker. Just my two cents.

I hit top 5 with less than 4 hours played on one night, so crying about this being all time and no skill is exactly that, crying. You won't hit top 5 in the leaderboards without at least well above average skill, no matter how many games you played.

That's hilarious. First of all, the person in question does not steal any kills. Every kill in this game is fair game. Also, by the sheer amount of damage the person you're referring to does, you can instantly throw out the idea that he is just waiting to steal kills from people. There's no way he would have been able to do as well as he did by just waiting to "steal" other people's kills. The way the person you're talking about plays, he deserves every kill he gets. Just because you were shooting at someone, doesn't mean that someone else who was also shooting at that same person doesn't deserve the kill.

That is funny because every match that this person was on the same team as I did usually half the damage I did. I said he didnt contribute to the kill because he DID NOT contribute to the kill he was trolling me on purpose and displaying his way of playing. You say this just bec you are a hobo fan well I have plenty of fans also as you can see. He got a couple extremely lucky rounds good for him according to the overall win he WON good for him if they dont find him cheating or of misconduct of course. I lol so hard when u said he dosnt steal kills wow he would follow me just to get the last hit, I have multiple people even full groups of friends that got a drop with him and say all he did was ksed whatever they dmged thats just what he does sorry to have to point it out to you. If MWO made the points system better where 1 kill dosnt equal 150 dmg than we would all see a different outcome and less frustration. Lies??? He tked me in a tournament and kill stole any chance he could even when he did not contribute to the said kill end of story thats his conduct. He was being such a troll in one game that we were circling not touching the mech because he wanted to wait to shoot after I shot so he could get the last hit in. The way this tourny was scored there was absolutely no teamwork wanted thats why it was so frustrating and hobo and everyone else was just trying to get the kill. He may of not been total troll if the tourney was scored differently. We just had a major battle for first overall thats what kept us up all night of the seventh day the competitiveness of both of us was extremely heated and showed in the scores. He still won congrats to him.

on day 5 I played for 1.5 hrs till I hit #1 on medium board daily. I played for another 2 hrs to secure it. so its not that bad. I work 12 hrs a day on a construction (pipefitter). it can be hard sometimes sitting on a puddle of mud trying to get that damn 12 inch wide pipe into place. but, I had to make lot of sacrifices. during the tourney, I didn't go grocery shopping, so I was stuck eating ******** top ramen and gas station burritos. I also didn't get drunk for a week (the most miserable thing EVER). I also got average sleep of 3-4 hrs a day before going to work(last day I didn't even sleep so I worked 2 12hr shifts straight). thankfully the weathers been super crappy for first few days of the tourney so we simply didn't work those days. ^_^ I thank the weather gods for that. so tell me, would you make the sacrifices to win the tourney? WOULD YOU NOT DRINK A BEER for a ENTIRE FUCANKSDALSEW WEEK? my god, the first thing I did after tourney was to get super smashed.

Unfortunately killstealing is going to be a reality in this kind of competition. I spent the first day in my LRM mech getting onto the boards basically playing how I normally would. No intentional killstealing basically. As time went on it became clear that if I wanted to stay on the boards I'd have to step up my killstealing game quite a bit. Meaning PPCs and other high alpha direct fire weapons. Not that I would intentionally follow people around stealing kills or otherwise not pull my weight on the team but I would generally pounce on any targets of opportunity given the chance sometimes letting the mech I was working on at the time off the hook.

It did feel kinda silly.

Hopefully one day we'll get proper 1v1/12v12 tournaments. I'd love to watch and maybe try my hand to see how far I'd get.

And yeah I can also say it's possible to get top 10 on the daily leaderboard with 4 hours or less of play.

Not an overly big fan of it but it works and that system is what Starcraft 2 uses. It rates by points and they could have a 1v1, 2v2, 4v4 and 8v8 ladders. Random drops against someone in your 'tier' till you rank to the next tier etc, sometimes maybe play someone in a lower/higher tier if no random match within their tier with a handicap in point awarding/subtracting would be fair but tricky.

neviu was using an LRM stalker with a tag the couple of times I saw him. i dunno if he used it to get his good rounds, though.

It's definitely possible. One of my 5 kill rounds was in my LRM treb. It's just so much harder to get those kills with LRMs since they're not direct fire. Way easier to pull good games with high alpha builds.

that's sort of because your LRMs are next to useless damage wise

Even the gap from the top 3 to like 6th - 10th was generally massive.

Of course. I did it just to see how far I could get using just LRMs. I think they're weak as they are myself. Just far from "useless" like many people say. Like I said I did switch to better builds later on to stay on the boards.

Yes. Not drinking is not a sacrifice.

Actually, I never drink beer, and I dont get drunk or high.

But if thats your thing, go for it.

i respect your scores and ability in the game. Nuff said.

paladin yst said " TLDR: Tournament rewards table is an epci fail, EXTREMELY misleading putting the top5/top20 in there with the following rewards. My entire clan thought theres 80 hula girls total, one of them even laugh at me when I casually joke about it cant be just 1 per class right? he said nah lol no such tournament that rewards ONLY 1 player exists."

you know, niveu's English is his 2nd language and he still understood the reward table. my English is 2nd too, and completely understood the reward table. I think someone else is epic fail, not the tournament reward table

This whole tournament was a farce.

Just ask Koreanese and all his buddies who constantly dropped sync every single night of it.

Some of you actually say Drop syncing wasn't happening. Are you kidding me?

WOW
