Being able to completely outrun a weapon system isn't a "game feature", its a bug.
What you're asking for would make LRM's nearly impossible to dodge for all Mechs. If a light is canny enough to see the warning and figure out where the missiles are coming from, then they should be able to outrun them. They are slow moving long range weapons, not autocannon rounds.
I wouldn't even waste LRM's on a light unless they were within 300m of me.

Yeah, it is pretty ridiculous how a 35 tons of steel is able to outrun missiles. Who the hell do they think they are? Max Payne? Neo?

LRMs are crap for a multitude of reasons beyond their inability to hit a light mech that runs away in a straight line (and then promptly gets PPC sniped dead). Let's see what LRMs are like after the planned buffs before we start calling for the next round.

I don't think you quite understand weapon speeds in the game.
Lets take the typical Autocannon, an AC/5. It travels at 1,300 kph
Lets look at the LRM moving at the future 120 KPH
LRM's move 900% slower than an AC/5 at 120 KPH. I think they can bump LRM's up to a speed where you actually have to take cover and can't just flat outrun a weapons system.

LRMs go 100meters/second
This is 360kilometers/hour, or more than double the speed of light mechs.

And if you do the math for the proposed buff, 120 m/s is equivalent to 432 km/hr. The fastest lights currently top out at just over 150 km/hr.

the point was to have it reach its target faster

the light mech isn't running full speed 24/7 and depending on the speed not 100% of the missiles miss. a light mech cannot take many hits from LRMs. it wouldn't be fair if u got a homing missile that can 2 salvo kill a light mech
test this in the testing grounds against a commando

Exactly.
BTW if they were going 100kph, it would take 35 seconds to go 1,000m....
...and for the record 120m/s =
432km/hEDIT: and I just noticed someone else pointed out the speed.....

They are boosting LRM speed to just about 120.
So this suggestion is already planned for this very month!

It's well beyond a bug...it's just plain stupid.

Be that as it may, lights still outrun LRM's much too easily and with the massive damage nerf they are dead weight.
