Man what a loss for his friends and this game.
I hope someone corrects me if I am wrong but I seem to recall at its height the league had 80 some units playing?
He would never join a unit at his own MWL just because that is how he was.
He thought it may look bad.

He is the one I couldn't remember but remember hearing about his passing through Jeho2K at MekTek.

You might recognize the name, from the recent Bonus story from ISN, that was a homage that Garth made for me to honor him. He was a damn good pilot, and the best friend anybody could ask for.

Husband of a friend of mine was killed by an IED today. Ironically.... it was one he was rigging to use against who ever was assaulting his unit. May his mechwarrior prowess live forever.
I only knew him simply by the callsign birdy.

Why was the sticky removed and not readded? The community WANTS this stickied. Is this how we can expected to be treated as customers here with something so solemn as this request to have this stickied?

We spent many upon many late nights fighting on the Zone (Me, FM Honest, FM Hardcase, FM Yeolis, FM Reaver, FM VividDrifter) I was Eastern Time, Yeolis & Vivid live in Minnesota so they were like 2 hours behind me, Reaver was European, and Honest and Hardcase were both from New Zealand (roommates) I worked late at the time and so when I would get off work these guys were just getting on or had only been online for a little bit so naturally we winged each other for many upon many battles.
Honest was light hearted and a very funny guy he'd said "Ello Onnie how's ye bum fo wots?" and I'd just laugh not knowing what the hell he was saying. He'd also let me take over the pre-game chatting and he'd be like "Git em Onnie ye lil ******" cause I was only 18-20 years old at the time.
Man when I learned of his suicide (he had apparently broke his back and was in lots of pain) and suddenly out of no where he started needing to get off the computer sooner than normal. He would complain of back pain but never told us he actually broke his back. Then one day he stopped coming online. His family was given his computer (him and his wife were separated) and they logged on and told us that he had hung himself unable to bare the pain any longer.
Man I was tore up for quite some time after that. Until that point I always thought of online friends as just some side effect to gaming and that any day I could just turn that switch off. After that I realized that online friends are just as important and influential as real world friends, and that emotions are just as justified.
I miss ya Honest!
Here is a local video for ya

Quoted for truth.
I could not think of a better way of stating that.
