Any suggestions as far as a 3rd part CPU cooler for the 1155 socket?

By the way I wanted to thank you for pointing that GPU out to me, as i've just gone and secured the last one that fry's had. Everything i've heard about it is good, and i wasn't even aware it existed until you told me about it

As for 3rd party cooler that one is up to you, my suggestion is either a Cooler master Hyper 212 or the H60. Hyper 212 is a good simple cooler that works great (used it on my last build no problems) and the H60 is liquid cooling. What im getting in my next machine.

Good to hear! I hope it treats you as well as it has been treating me.

Intel's Core series do overclock nicely. Someday I hope to have the fundage for a liquid cooler, but for now, I have a makeshift air cooling setup that involves zip ties...

But for my next upgrade I'm debating between going sandybridge i5 2500k and trying for 5ghz, or going with ivybridge, and being happy with 4.5ghz and pci-e 3.0. It's not like any game is going to particularly challenge either at that speed for now.
I've also just finished overclocking my new 6950. 880 core 1300 memory. The driver fails in Skyrim at 900 core, so it would probably be fine at 890, but 10mhz isn't worth it. Memory could probably go a little higher too, but it hardly matters in gaming.

Using noctua dh-14 and my cpu is at around 70c under full load.
Altho wish id went with corsair h100 with noctua fans for push/pull combo

Just got the gtx 670, haven't played that much with the OC on it yet, but up to 1200Mhz core with turbo boost seems stable in all of the games I play and with some quick stress testing.

Yeah, a mem limit sounds about right. I can only go so high with my now-dated DDR2 800 ram. Once I have the money, I'm doing a completely new build with either the Bulldozer or Ivy Bridge architectures, and will then be able to utilize the incredible speed of tri or quad channel DDR3 (maybe 4?).
