The HBK-4P is pretty sweet, are you running one of the builds from Helmstif's guide?

I wager when twelve vs twelve comes out the 4P is going to really shine late game after ballistic and missile heavy mechs have spent all their ammo.

no! but I thank you for bringing that thread to my attention. I looked it over last night to work on my 4SP. still haven't found joy in that one yet. had a couple good rounds but that 4P is just a fast little master blaster i tell ya what! i mean ya gotta use some hit and run tactics (to keep from overheating) but that's all fun.

If you want to deviate a bit from standard 9xML builds, I'd indulge you to try one of my assymetric ones :-)
250 engine, ERLL in left arm, ML in right arm:

260 engine, same weapons but no ML in right arm:

Both built with the idea of being slightly more combat efficient even after the hunch goes, as well as having some long range to tickle your opponent in a standoff.

you got anything for the 4SP? right now i just stuck 5ML and 2SRM's in it, tried a few loadouts and cant find joy. think my problem is i'm not willing to dump into DHS cuz i just want to make enough cash to buy my third HBK.
my 4P already has enough mech xp to finish 2nd tier if only i can get this 4SP and another up too hehe.

HBK-4SP
SRM4s with Arty make for a nice tight grouping and a faster cycle rate then the SRM6s in my opinion. With 5MLs even with a side torso gone she's still viable in a fight. That's one of the 4SP's greatest strengths I find, other HBKs lose the hunch and your left with maybe two lasers. The above configuration moves pretty fast and hits very hard, I've taken down heavies with double alphas from behind. The Endo/DHS/Arty is a little pricey but when you get the free CBills to invest and level it up the 4SP is a brute.

thanks.yea I've come to the conclusion that 4sp is a DHS/ARTY/ENDO is a mut have to make it ultra nasty, also 2xbasics wont hurt it

HBK-4H
If you haven't had experience with the AC-20 I'd recommend taking one out to the Training Ground and getting used to firing it from different ranges and on the move. Its a big slow ballistic so you have to get used to adjusting for deflection and arc. Once you get comfortable with it though it a fun and rewarding weapon system. Sprinting around at 88-92 kph blasting away with an AC-20 never gets old.
I don't have a J model at the moment, and until the LRMs are re balanced I'm not sure it's allowed to really shine. The Trebs supposedly can do the medium LRM job better.
