Now you asked ... I can't like you on principle

Its like saying 'I love you TOO' ... it means nothing!

Notes on the Video: Probably worst chance to film but o well. But its a great map i hope its in the final build. weaving in and out of the buildings or if your in a Jenner/Catapult Getting on top of the broken down buildings and waiting to strike or rain down death was really cool. I used the Jenner a few times but On this map it was at home. I almost want the Jenner for MY Founding Mech. Maybe. I started to like the dragon for the speed cause atleast with the AC I can gain some ground as the Jenners are striking our firing line and i can get there in time to save them. Obviously I couldn't change up the specs in the Mech Lab but with some configuring I'll be happy with the Dragon too. I'm not a Atlas Guy and would probably not use it. I did manage to use all the Mechs tho. Most fun so far were 1. Jenner 2. Swayback Hunch 3. Hunch 4. Catapult 5. Dragon AC5 double Med Laser LRM 10.

And again just my opinion from playing with them you guys might have some differing feelings.

ACE what were your impressions of the sound. Immersive?

Also ... how about the terrain ... was there any difference between the mechs and how they navigated it ... ie could the hunchie climb steeper slopes than the atlas?

Finally ... what about agility. Torso twist ... are we seeing a difference between the classes. Ie lights turn and torso twist faster than mediums ... mediums faster than heavies ...etc

Oh and finally finally ... the map size ... did you feel you could get lost ... or did it feel restrictive?

Sound was pretty good.. I feel the Razer head sets didn't do it justice. Same with the entire setup but then I'm comparing that to my SLi MSi 580 Lightnings and my Trittons and Turtlebeach and Sony Headsets which are all much better lol. and yea You'll lose yourself in the sound. Its great. Overall I honestly didn't pay too much attention to the climb ability much but In one mach on a steeper slope where I couldn't climb in my Atlas a Swayback got behind me so Possibly but I really didn't pay attention. Another "pew pew= 0_o!" moment lol. Yea Torso Twist is noticeable Jenner = Crack, Atlas = Model T? hahaha but yea It takes while to swing your torso around with atlas but immediate with Jenner and Dragon and Hunch felt great.

Okay so map Size..... Perfect. Especially that map I really really liked. Expansive but obviously we all kinda congregate in a general area cause again we want to pew pew but if they change up map types this would be great. The one in the Previews is a great map too though if ur in a ngboat want to drag the fight near the water

Side Note: I'm actually quite glad I didn't really Take videos cause it would have been a waste. No one there really knew how to play and filming noobs is never a great way to showcase a great game. I really wanted to show you guys the Snow Map though cause its awesome lol.

I always prefer seeing actual players' impressions than any official reviews.

I want this game even more now.

Well too late now E3 is over but They had Restrictions on what we could use. The Closed Beta Players could use the PPC tho.

1) Because campy weapons bring game pacing to a standstill.

hmm for some reason i had images of painting all my lrms bright pink =3 and flowery designs all over my mech lol maybe a bit of lace here and there =3 nya

cough yes well

still if you manage to have the time to stand around camping in a two or three story mech then congrats =3 ... you wont get that kinda chance in this game =3 scouts in particular will be out there looking for those potential campers.... or rather snipers:P (camper means something abit diff to me considering my fave role is snipeing and all in other games )

ty ace for all the usefull info =3 and vid :P

Yea an Atlas...He didn't let me set his firegroups for him since I wasn't with Piranha but O well. Let it be an example thats NOT how you play Mechwarrior. Here's hoping for those easy kills!

One thing I noticed is that the footprints disappeared pretty quickly. They lasted longer than MW4 footprints, but not by a lot.

Other than that, it looked pretty sweet. The map still seemed a little small, for as many people as there were on it, but it was hard to tell. And even so, there was still a lot of terrain variation, so clearly the maps are designed really well.

That was just one section of the Map. Still have the Caves and there were different Areas we just all met there. Yea the Terrain Variations can be dangerous because saying i'm coming up a hill and my AC in my right arm is behind the hill still but my left arm is clear . If I shoot my AC shell will hit the hill instead of where I'm aiming even though my reticule is clear its just my AC is by my hip so I'd have to wait for it to clear before shooting. There are a few things you have to take into account which I think its totally cool

I love the way it looked, and I don't know if it was the terrain, but it looked like when the player was getting hit by multiple mechs that he was getting pummeled and his mech was swaying. In MWLL and some other games all that happened when you got hit is some violent shaking, but in there is looked like he could of been knocked over.

Also, that music at the beginning...I was waiting for the TechoViking to make an apperance.

Thx for the vid.

Low quality, bad player, no sound but damn it was glorious. Any else notice how quick the atlas died once in combat?
