Thanks Ace... was a good read. Need to finish up reading the rest later.

I do have a quick question... how were the recycle times and did the lasers have annoying DoT length? Thanks...

It doesn't confirm any of the suppositions you posted about player psychology in WoT... Why are you spamming/x-posting here because you dislike how another game handles tiering?

Additionally, pre-match, was there any tonnage limit per team? Or any other limits designed to insure that the sides weren't too lopsided?

Possible that that system wasn't represented there though...

I've played world of tanks, and i must say that i have noticed that what u say happens a lot but i have also noticed that a lot of good players like to go lone wolf and on there own while few actually go where they need to go. Anyways getting on the topic of MWO, Ace thanks for the info and ur right few actually tell us much on the game.... just what is added.

On the page the link refers to (page 3 of some other thread) I posted some screenshots from a video, and where I got the video from.

On the same page, I did say that we have no idea however else we earn exp and c-bills, in reply to another users post.

So, from my point of view Ace was confirming what I observed (experience for a destroyed mech and a component).
That is all I could ever say in any reality that Ace went anywhere near.

Apologies to Ace, in no way did I mean to imply that you agreed with my opinions on anything.

I like the idea of getting more experiance for picking an enemy mech apart piece by piece instead of killing them as quick as possible.

Would be nice if lighter mechs get some xp from dealing damage, kinda like the Team Battle game type in MW4:Mercs, or if xp is scaled according to tonnage or tonnage difference.

Load a few extra tons of ammo n drop ur armour, it aint rocket science...

I'd rather not scrap all my survivability to be able to achieve one kill. Like I said, the catapult, at this point, doesn't sound like what I'm looking for. If you want to remove all your armor on the off chance that you'll have time to unload all your ammo for one kill before your target can get inside your LRM range, then go ahead. I'd rather pick a different mech.

Ace mentioned earlier about the number of replies he got in such a short amount of time ... and commented that it told him the forums were running on fumes.

Couldn't agree more ... we need something substantial!

I have to admit that the catapult has never really appealed to me either ... LRM's are cool and all ... but I can only really see me using them on pure command role mechs.

In MW4 you could make a beast of a mech by putting on 80LRM's and 3 ERLL's, but I seriously doubt that MWO would support that config.

If you could fit it though, it definitely doesn't lack killing power. Ran stupid hot though.

Normally I'm in support of the devs and their decisions with information control. But for once I will have to say more video would be good for morale I think. Just have something like "work in progress" on the bottom so to keep the speculation and gripes to a reasonable level. Just let us get our fix!!

So I saw someone ask about how the mechs in respect to the terrain. I gotta say the look like they belong. They move as if the are part of the world not just lumped in skating above the ground. As of right now tonnage restrictions and bv restriction are not implemented. text le times felt just about right . Nothing to complain about. I did rain terror on a hunch with my LRMs and finished him off with my 4 meds. Still had half my LRM ammo intacts. He was crossing open I'm the water and got his head critical. Never though my first lol would be from a catapult. Killed a jenner with a dragon. I put my left lasers on my mouse 1 and my ac on mouse 2 and missiles on 4 usually and my torso weapons on 3. I couldnt change the control setup but it worked out. That way I didn't waste heat from my torso weapons on an empty shot. Tried the jenner. Little buggers. 4 meds and a srm rack? Op. So fast i almost want it as.my founder Mech. The only mechs in the game that I saw was sway back hunch jenner dragon with ac and ultra ac. Atlas amd jenner LRM/ppc. Saw a hunch woth all flamers...lol. there are different engines which was cool. No premium distribution thru brick and mortar. No word on how choosing our founders will work. Again mw is not about getting better mechs. Every Mech is useful and the infinite amount of setups will leave u happy with the one u choose.

A fire support mech shouldn't be focused on getting kills, which even in tabletop take forever with LRMs. You should be focused on damaging a LOT of mechs.

You seem to have mistaken fire support for camping glory-hound.

Not until 3050, at any rate.
