Quite so Harleen. I don't think any of our "Capwarriors" ( ) are anywhere near that far gone. But it happens and it's never seems to be a newb that does it.

It takes fun, time and progress away from people. Not cool.

well, the information is ok but some might call it a dead horse, or moot(since people are going to do what they want anyways) and as well they should, it's just a game, and games are most fun when ya play them how ya want. i don't mind (nor does it matter) you bumping your own thread, just so long as ya give mine a bump! mwuahahah but i think the moderators don't like people bumping their own threads, pretty sure i read it's a no-no. *wags finger*

i don't like to bump my own threads i will however respond to posts. i guess i've laid off the topic. for one, i was having alot of fun in my cicadas instead of the forums, but it also seems it's happening a little less, OR, people are simply playing more defensively as well, and i seriously doubt that ANY of the threads regarding insta/quick capping have even been read by the people who do it alot And to those who were in the habit of doing it simply out of inexperience in the game, might have discovered better ways to still win and make big bucks, and mech xp because of the threads. who knows.

i'm really looking forward to the new game mode i've heard, is it just a rumor though?

It is supposedly coming in with CW, so end of summer/beginning of fall at the earliest, unfortunately. I love asymmetrical mission-modes, and hope it lives up to it!

Hammerfinn, it's a good thread to have on page 1. It's gotten people from both sides of the line to post in, and it shows the general community opinions on the manner. I'm honestly happy it's page 1 material still.

I would argue for sticky, simply for informational purposes. If the mods think this topic is too tired or divisive, I'd understand.

However, I would say that this thread (despite my own bias, and the controversial nature of the topic!) has provided all the arguments pro- and anti-capping, and that might be something we want all new players who visit these forums to see.

In short, bump for a sticky, ignore if you think this issue is moot.

Absolutely. Solid arguments for both sides to be read. Then a new player can make up his or her own dam Vulcan mind!
