Make a SSRM-20 and you'll have a reason to complain.
Light mechs are already unanturally small for their weight.

Come at my jumpsniper in your light and tell me just how "easymode" it is...oh wait, the first shot without even having fired SSRMs would kill you. :/ "Aim" should be the counter for lights...not magic missiles that never miss.
True.
And to be fair, jump sniping/PPCs /are/ easymode right now.

It is worse than high-stakes poker. Highlanders with 3 PPC/ERPPC + 1 Gauss are just plain skeeeery to a JR7-F. Mess up once... yer dead.

Streaks bother me because it takes a lot less time to put consistent damage in one place. I think that parts of the reason Jenner CT's take so much damage is because we have to face the taget directly for longer periods of time if we want to inflict any damage.
AMS works if there is enough time for it to track. I don't think they do a thing within 100m or so.

A: You clearly have no conception of how SSRM and AMS interact. If the firing mech is firing in the outer 1/3 or so of his range, an AMS may shoot down a single missile. Closer than that and it will shoot down none. Any SSRM user knows this and stays under the AMS umbrella.
B: No, Mediums are unnaturally large for their weight. Not that it's relevant in the slightest to the fact that SSRM are one of the best bang-for-ton weapons at the lower end of the weight classes and requireso little skill to use it's not even funny.

Lights have been dead for a bit sorry you didn't notice.
So you want to make it even worse? Changes should be made to keep all classes viable, not further kick them while they're down. Think before you post stuff.

I do not see streaks as anti-radiation missiles designed to be fired from aircraft to hit active radar installations up to 57 miles away. Do you see streaks like that?
Personally I would think the man-portable FGM-148 Javelin to be more comparable as it is a fire-and-forget missile with lock-on before launch and automatic self-guidance with around a 4.7 km range.
