Considering how much posting Mike gets in,
I wouldn't say he has a stressful day at a game company.
Just sayin'...

It's probably indigestion.

Do you have your own parking spot by the front of the office with your name on it?

If not, why?

No. I don't drive to work so I wouldn't need a spot.

I come in, check what's on my to-do list, check if anything new that requires my immediate attention has come up, adjust my list if needed and then start doing stuff.

What that stuff is varies greatly from day to day. Some days it's reconfiguring a firewall, some days it's deploying new virtual servers. Others I'm preparing workstations or doing maintenance. There's a lot of variety.

Today it's debugging a software package deployment and then rewriting firewall rules.

I was always jealous of the IT guys because they carried a screwdriver around the office, which I was not allowed to do. Do you carry a screwdriver and maybe a knife or boxcutter?

We used to have an IT person in the office here and everyone called him "Jabba"

What nickname do your office co-workers call you?

Only when I have a task that requires them. Otherwise they stay in my toolkit where they belong.

I take it you don't walk around with the screwdriver around the servers just to say "I'm going to screw you.."?
