Once we get the shake, we can hopefully get PGI to give us a lot more speed and initial vertical thrust. To get fun DFA going we and make jets useful as evasive tools more upward thrust that really pushes mechs into the sky plus more fuel to play in the air/buffer coupled with slower fuel recharge times would put jumpjets into Btech roles - they force you to expose yourself, but they grant you significant movement and evasion bonuses plus DFA capability.

this would also help with confusing and evading the siesmic sensor.

Even with current jumpjets the only mech that sorta kinda can get great air is the spider with 12 jumpjets, and that's a ridiculous commitment to achieve big air with, and even then it's not amazing.
